I agree that there's an argument that can be made to the effect that Mitch was foolish to loudly announce his plans for quickly disposing of the Imp. Trial.

Pelosi lost this battle. She might’ve had a chance at getting 4 Senators to go with her on the witnesses had she not pulled this stunt. Now those Senators will look foolish to voters if they “give in” to the lower house and allow the kangaroo court to proceed

Hell - I was cheering by the time Mitch got thru trashing that witch and the whole DEM process.
