How is this guy still serving with a diagnosis of Brain Cancer?

I could see him abstaining from the tax bill vote. He wouldn’t be a yes or no. He could blame his health or some other reason for missing the vote.
Even though this is basically a no vote. He will be putting the pressure on other (R) Senators and cause the whip to push the vote to next year.

Just him signaling that he's a "yes" is huge for other fence-sitters. He's kind of been their leader for 1.5 decades now.

I think he's grand standing. Either he'll actually vote no or knows a few others will

The same Senators that voted “No” on healthcare when they thought McCain was a yes. He was “yes” on healthcare before he was a “No” vote.
He may have been a leader of the moderate republicans, but I think his influence has dwindled over the last few years as the moderates have moved more to the left.
I could see Collins(Obamacare concerns) and Murkowski(Drilling in Alaska) voting “No” without any McCain influence.
Flake and Corker just because they don’t like Trump.
Senators Daines, Lankford, and Moran will vote together if they get their amendments through.
Ron Johnson will be a wildcard depending on the amendments.
To get votes amendments will water the bill down and make it as bad as Obamacare.

He must know there are enough no's somewhere else. Corker, Flake, count from Maine
If he is actually a yes, sadly the above is what I believe.

John McCain is an American hero.

This is huge! I thought for sure he would vote no just to be a douche bag to Trump!

I won't believe it till the vote is cast.

I will believe it when his "Yes" vote is logged into the books.
Maybe he will die shortly after he votes

A true patriot McCain is. Always looking out for the good of the country. I don’t know how we’ll make it without him.
