This isn’t a law and it’s no more enforceable than the stay at home orders. It’s a request cloaked in bureaucratic window dressing.

I’ll do with the summons the same thing I do with the red light camera tickets.

No masks required here in St George.

False. It’s a parish-wide ordinance and St. George is part of EBR Parish. Broome isn’t just the mayor of Baton Rouge, she’s also the Parish President of East Baton Rouge.

Watson and Wicker better get on the record about this. This could easily sway the election.

I wonder how much enforcement will occur in 70805?

I’m sure that will get tossed on every other action already being enforced there.

the legislative process was used to create the law allowing JBE to declare emergency powers

within that power, he gave mayors and parish presidents certain powers

this EO is within THAT power, which originally was from legislation

I don't want to violate HIPAA laws.

Just found out my favorite grocery store here in Texas is now going to start requiring masks. What's stupid is they have never required this for this entire time, yet now, they decide to do this.

Looks like I'll be going to Kroger until they decide to lose their minds.

Anyone know an attorney willing to do pro bono on a class action suit? I think they can get a good settlement out of this.

Nobody would do it on contingency, since any actual damages claimed would likely be under $10

It amazes me that some people out here in St George think we somehow have gotten away from City-Parish government. Broome is still our Parish President and will continue to be. All the city of St George will do is add another layer of taxation on us.

How well has that worked in New Orleans?

A guy was in the office yesterday, he had just come from down there. He said maybe 1 in 75 people around Jackson Square was wearing a mask and absolutely none of the police were.
