Q2 GDP number is coming out July 28th. It must be negative. The Atlanta Fed GDP Now is predicting -1.6%. Historically the definition of a recession is two consecutive quarters of negative GDP.

Now the Biden White House is trying to change that definition.

The same way they lower crime numbers by ignoring crimes that are still occurring.

Controlling the language is a key part of the left's mass brainwashing program.

99% of people don’t know what that number means anyway. Biden can’t hide from what is Coming and already here

She’s right about one thing: the NBER is the group that “officially” calls it a recession. Other than that she is trying to downplay it as hard as she can to prop up this weak administration.

Gotta love the transparency here.

Alot of people know they’re fos, but they dont care as long as they can fool the idiots in the country.

Something is seriously wrong with the direction the gov is headed

She must be easy to fool then, bc by her own admission, she didn't see inflation coming either.

It’s not a government right now. It’s organized crime.

I love the wording there... She "debunks" the definition of recession by simply disagreeing with it. Its settled. Biden is doing great!

If it were a republican administration, how would that headline look?

LOL at their strategy of saying "well this really isn't a real recession".

People aren't going to buy it when foreclosures shoot up, wages stagnate, and homes/cars become unaffordable due to double digit interest rates, and groceries become unafforadble.

WSJ this morning reports the number to be released Thursday morning at 830, expected to be a slight expansion 2Q.

When preliminary numbers were released earlier this month showing a retraction, this board postulated that the numbers would be massaged to show an expansion.

I think that’s what we’ll see Thursday.

So you're saying that the old definition of "recession" will hold?

Actually it’s not the 2 quarter of negative results that bothers me at all. It’s the next 2-1/2 years of this shitshow and what will come with it that is the huge problem
