Mr. Massie, there isn’t a single mother fricking politician I’d model my personal life after. Every single one of you crooked, grifting, whores is an affront to society, regardless of party or position.

He is absolutely part of the feckless Republican Party

Please tell me everything he has accomplished when the Republicans have controlled the house and what he has proposed and driven through with his great leadership

The answer is nothing

He is a grifter like every other Republican Congress. We are at the point we are at because nobody has the courage or the desire to make this country better and do what needs to be done

One person championed the covid vaccines, supported deficit spending that led to highest inflation since 1970s and is in bed with tech folks working to put us in a surveillance state via palantir. The other person is Thomas Massie.

I agree that most of what Massie said was objective. I had just never heard him say anything PERSONAL about Trump...which was remarkable considering how personally insulting Trump is with anyone who doesn't agree with him.

Yeah, it was a definite swipe. But not punch and even a slap.

Considering Trump's going all out to besmirch Massie's integrity and rep, voting record, commitment to actual "America First", he could have gone a LOT harder at Trump if he'd wanted. Jmho.

I absolutely know how Congress works and I know that there is legislation and I know it is proposed but I don't see Massey doing anything but being a little crybaby and not actually proposing anytime

It is called being a leader rather than a complainer

I have no idea, honestly... with Rand I can at least look forward to his Festivus Report.

Good point. I was only noting that this was a departure from Massie's usual "above it all" approach.

When you read it in context it's much ado about nothing. One would think he wrote a speech on the topic given some of the responses here.

I don't blame Massie for the comment, really. He should be defensive, but it seems to fit in with Massie's current goal of releasing JE files/tapes whatever.

No doubt his personal remark was his kind version- in unison with the democrats saying Trump is the worst, vile, creature on earth.

Massie's goal has been discussed (Watters last night) as to be joining the democrats to get Trump and not the 'we need to know for the children', mantra.

It is a ploy to keep a shadow of a doubt re: Trump being a pedophile-- as Massie knows his petition will render nothing.

The goal is to get Trump-dismiss MAGA. The Israel infighting plus the JE files. JE is such a tired issue, that i think we are watching via Massie... Early 2028 primary fighting to trash MAGA. The GOP in DC are waiting Trump out.

asinine statement he made about ALL POWs
McCain was not treated nor regarded as ALL POWs.... Ever! That was Trump's point.

Here is a perspective re: Vietnam -- There are 45 Congressional Medal of Honor winners from that conflict still living. Can you cite one, off the top of your head? There were around 250 CoM winners in Vietnam, over all. Can you even name one of those, w/o looking it up?

Those fellows were absolutely heros.

Yet, everyone and his brother knows of John McCain as a Vietnam War "hero." McCain wrapped himself in the mantle.

Perhaps the problem here is I also know a bit about McCain's service background. He was a consistent screw up. I have similar questions regarding deep state aid and indebtedness in his rise to power that I do of Obama.

If you truly look at his actions, he has been an obstructionist tool for the Dems. He talks libertarian, but his actions say he is more John Cornyn.

I use to0, long ago had some good thoughts about the hard core R's whinning about the debt but I long ago walked away from them, they are FOS, all of them. They know deep down none of their plans will get the votes, because every state wants their money. You cannot just cut spending from welfare programs or this social program you have to cut defense spending also and Cut weapons production to something real. Rand Paul and Massie are both pushing plans that will never be voted in or even close to be voted in, if we can just freeze spending which the Clean C/R kind does is more then we can hopeful, IMO. Yes, terrible victory but handing over power to the Dims, like Massie and Paul want to do it seems, we will spend much more money...
