The John Smith post saying Medicaid or the government will help with burial expenses is false. They'll help broke Veteran's, but the girl killed is clearly not a Veteran.
The family could be doing a money grab by the GofFundMe, but burials are very expensive and unless an autopsy is being done, then you only have so many days before you have to be buried. If not, they'll charge you more for holding the body.
