quote:good question.
The other data I would add to "maybe targeting Ella Cook" was that the class ran a few minutes late. Maybe the shooter thought he would catch her leaving the class alone.
Was he casing, or was he waiting. Seems like you said to me: waiting
He was in the area at 10:43. Shooting was after 4.
That's over 5 hrs roaming around with him disapping for over an hour multiple times.
He was looking for someone specific.

I think that also suggests that this was some kind of targeted attack.”

quote:I would not be surprised if he had a beef with the professor and expected the professor to be present at the review session, and then left when he realized that he was just shooting his fellow students.
It was DEFINITELY some kind of targeted attack.
That certainly seems more likely to me than the notion that he was targeting one individual student.
And ALL of that seems much more likely than the notion that he was some Muslim jihadist.

Does someone who just wants to kill people go into a classroom with multiple people, only shoot two ( one may have been by accident), and run?

Can’t be. She’s white AND conservative.

quote:At LEAST one other student was shot (twice), as the TA for the class has talked about comforting a girl who had been shot in both legs.
I haven’t seen that 9 people were shot. I’ve seen 9 people were injured.
Pretty sure that most of the "injured" were shot. Reports are that the shooter fired 40-50 times, including several shots BEFORE he entered this classroom.

quote:To someone unfamiliar with firearms, a 9mm probably seems like quite a large handgun, especially as compared the the smaller weapons he would see on cop procedural shows on TV.
The TA said in CNN interview that it was a "very big gun" and the FBI says it was a 9mm handgun. So the TA is full of shite

I don’t believe Mustapha is a foreign national. I read his parents are “Palestinian.”
He is a member of LGBTQ. How many devout Muslims are not only openly homosexual but are activists for LGBTQ causes? Not many.
I would speculate, from what information is available, Mustapha is a far left, upper middle class college student. He’s been fully radicalized (think communism more than Islam) at Brown.
He has an online “Manifesto” which was removed but not before some internet warrior’s screen capture.
He gives a callout to Turtle Hill in the manifesto. Turtle Hill is a domestic terrorist organization.
Someone also had a screenshot of a chat forum where he talks about firearms and recent gun purchases, not the gun used in the murder, but it reflects Mustapha’s familiarity and enthusiasm for fire arms.

Nothing on the MIT professor who was assassinated yesterday. The guy was running a nuclear physicist program I believe.

I've seen the name mentioned in X as well. Same height, body build, etc. From what little I've read, he is a Pakinstani, may have attended a Soros backed meeting and seems to have disappeared from campus. Seems odd that with 7 live victims not one has so far mentioned what the shooter shouted out. Considering the political "dynamics" in RI, I'm not surprised that a terrorist event w/be covered up as a terrorist on the loose doesn't "fit" their narrative of open borders.

I haven’t heard about this. But the point that stands out re all these attacks (political assassination, acid in face, random subway hits, etc.) is that all the perpetrators are from psychologically impaired Leftist sympathizers. Hell, Nick Reiner murdered his own parents and is a perfect example of the unstable psychos that are out there in the millions just looking for a ‘cause’. They are those People who form and adopt a murderous mindset based on grievances and outrage, with plenty being trumpeted by the Dem Party and their MSM, which OWNS the (unintended?) consequences. These sociopaths then act based in their anti Right hate. And indeed those who are most powerful and high profile on the Right become defacto targets. One could call that a @consoiracy theory@ but it is common sense. And sound strategy for revolution.
I know this, the tolerance, coverup and enabling of this from the Left ( think Kirk) is VERY dangerous, as the Right will become more outraged and apt to ruthless action by the day as their most important leaders go down. The danger lies in what then becomes inevitable, such being fighting back in kind from the Right. Just imagine what happens if some suicidal ex Military with superior skills takes out AOC, Crockett, Omar, Boasberg or some high profile Media star? This whole nation would explode on social media and go ‘Rodney King’ on steroids in the space of a day.
This crap needs to stop right now, but i don’t think that it can or will because both Sides believe they are speaking truth to power as a moral duty. We all must say and do what we must as it would be irresponsible or immoral not to. Though I get the feeling it won’t be painless.
What a mess. Lord have mercy on them who love.

I haven’t followed close…. Any reason to believe this vs some sort of left wing rally point that wouldn’t be ideal to report (free Palestine, f*** trump, etc….)

I don't think this has been verified.
Someone else said he might have yelled "Ella!" The female victim's name.

Once Ella was announced as a victim a lot of people I generally like started insinuating a targeted attack. I don't know if they've heard things the general public hasn't or if they're just speculating. Probably the latter, which I don't think is particularly responsible. I think there is a pretty good chance it's the guy discussed and it's got at least some overtures of a Palestinian inspired attack. I'd say that it's plausible it was that, and that he prioritized people he knew weren't down for the cause, but the other victim wouldn't really track with that. My best guess is there is some political motive or at least an argument for it, but that the Ella part was just an awful coincidence.
The part that throws me, is if it was a targeted attack based on her beliefs, why not target a meeting of that group? Just would make more sense that ir you’re crazy enough to go on a holy war and make a political statement, that would be a much more logical target.

Good grief. It’s like a viral contagion. Their countries go to hell because of their heathen impulses so they bail and bring it here. For the $$$.
My Daddy’s generation would have already righted this crap.
“Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools”. Oh well.
