This topic is funny to me bc a lot of conservative groups are applauding the move of Miss America to be more modest.
I get the idea of parading women around in bathing suits could be perceived as objectification; however, IMO physical fitness should should not be eliminated from a beauty pageant. Miss America should be the best well rounded woman physically, mentally, and emotionally.

They are not branding themselves as a "beauty pageant" anymore
They also scrapped the "evening gown" part
Miss America and all pageants are/were dying. Nobody cares about them.
I don't fault them for trying something new to spark new interest.

How long before we see the four judges of the "competition" that are all blind? If we're no longer judging on outward appearances then eyes are no longer needed.

It will be interesting to see how the various states respond to this challenge in selecting their candidates, and the competition could be interesting as the SJW try to out do one another with inclusion.

They do not think hard work should ever be rewarded. nobody wants a fat arse Miss America. Maybe they need to have a Miss Krispy Kream contest and fat arse women can enter that. I bet it would be hilarious and people would watch it just for the comedic value. They could have a see if you can wipe your own arse competition. I would watch at least the first year.

Replace the swimsuit competition with contestants running through the America Ninja Warrior course.
Like I said if we are judging on how “talented” a woman is then physical fitness should also be a criteria.

Actually, these kinds of contests, as scripted as they are, are the competition in the battle for viewers. The bachelor is a beauty contest with silly games. All these shows recruit models to compete. Simply parading in swimsuits in front of judges just isn’t interesting to many people anymore.
