Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller pled guilty to all six misdemeanor charges including contempt toward officers, willfully disobeying a superior commissioned officer, failure to obey lawful general orders, dereliction in the performance of duties and conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman.

His plea took place during a court-martial hearing at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Tim Parlatore, one of Scheller’s attorneys, said his team is working on an agreement with the hope of getting an honorable discharge or a discharge with honorable conditions. LINK

Should be given a general discharge.

Seems beyond warranted verbiage aimed at the “officers” who SHOULD be the ones facing charges! Sorry fricks!

The rest of this list is phony baloney garbage but the clown cars and circus keeps on rolling unabated! Guess TPTB Opposition who COULD step in is too cowed and feckless to shut it down save a couple like Rand Paul and MTG!

While I 100% agree with what he said the rules are clear. Regardless of the fact they’re broken often by many, especially higher officers, with no consequences. It’s unfair to him, it was a disgrace to throw him in the brig, but I agree with the 1st poster if they want to follow the letter of the rule a general or admin discharge seems appropriate. Still should’ve just accepted his resignation like adults but they saw a way to stick it to the bad guys.

They won't give him any type of honorable discharge. He is likely to have lost everything.

Bradley Manning got a pardon for a far more serious offense.

Although you know what he had to do to get it.

He’s more of a man than any of the asshats in Washington are. He broke the rules to call them out and is now pleading guilty to show he’s not a hypocrite.
He sacrificed more than any of the Joint Chiefs or Sec of Defense ever has.

Lol. If only his criticism came when trump was in the white house. Not only would he not have been punished in any way... he would've been protected and brought before congress as a brave hero.

Don't forget the mea culpa from his folks when the cash flow started to dry up.

He insulted Daddy and all of us for no reason. He has a mental disorder to burn literally every bridge that exists.

In the actual spirit of our Founding Fathers he put his livelihood in jeopardy because of his principles.

IMO some of the public narrative casting him as a victim is demeaning to his actions

He knew what he was doing and decided it was worth doing anyway

He's facing the consequences and the point is being made

It's like Jan 6 - for those who legitimately broke laws but weren't violent, punish them accordingly. It's what they were there to do. It's the entire point of civil disobedience.
