Hard to understand how Rubio stays in office. I think it's only because FL has offered no alternative.
He's a complete piece of shite and is indeed the new John McCain. Also, he is heavily funded by and heavily protects the prison lobby. It is not only illogical, but corrupt to have a criminal justice system whose default is to lock people up - in privatized prisons, if they don't stay full, they don't make money, and they stay full by funding politicians and judges and others, so that the system stays in that default mode.
If there's one part of society where we should never look to a privatized, capitalist substitute for govt, it's the criminal justice system. But Rubio is garbage.
I keep hoping Pam whatshername, the AG in FL, opens a public corruption case against Rubio.
