Yes I did. But go ahead and continue to justify Manafort's treatment because of his association with Trump.

The typical person on the street would probably think Paul Manafort was a game show host if the question was framed in such a manner.

No one knows who he is other than news junkies.

The idiot you quoted spoke of Manafort as though he was Lebron James.

See the actual legislation I posted above and STFU with your /thread horseshite.

You wouldn’t be able to /thread a guess my birthday OP.

If Monafort were harmed you would blame all non republicans and some republicans.

Its not just for safety.
It limits the publicity downside like Jack ruby shooting sirhan sirhan.
It stops witness tampering too.

Pardon me if I don't particularly trust the prosecutors in this case but this seems awfully punitive and certainly hinders his ability to prepare for trial with his attorneys.

Solitary confinement for non-violent prisoners is as cruel and inhumane as it gets. Keeping someone confined in a cell 23 hours a day has nothing to do with protection and everything to do with trying to break someone's spirit and soul. The Feds have a track record of doing this to Defendants, especially whistleblowers, to get them to plead guilty and avoid a trial. This kind of stuff was frowned upon by liberals when Bush was President but they seem to be ok with it now so long as it hurts Trump.

Just goes to show that they have absolutely zero principles. Anything to justify the end game.

All alleged. Convicted of NOTHING. In solitary confinement.

Think about it retard. I'll allege you rape goats and small cats. Throw your arse into solitary for it. Before you are convicted of Jack shite....

I'm not defending anything he did or didn't do.

Youre a useless idiot. I'm not sure you could be a doorstop.

Artful.

But is solitary confinement the only way to accomplish this? And even if so, people protest convicted criminals being held in solitary for long periods of time. Can we justify keeping an unconvicted person in solitary for that long while awaiting trial? I mean. It’s kind of outrageous.

He's a bad, bad man. Solitary confinement usually means he's a menace to society and incapable of being rehabilitated.

The most he should be facing is confinement in the most permissive environment possible, that simply precludes him being able to tamper with a witness.

Why is a self proclaimed libertarian such a fan of Federal prosecutors and the FBI?

I must have missed the meeting when libertarians decided they were against law and order

They're against punishment for violating bail agreements?

Solitary seems somewhat excessive for bail revocation doesn't it?

He should have considered the consequences of his actions when he was told what would happen if he did what he chose to do

Agreed 100%. And for the record, I think Manafort is a piece of shite. He clearly uses his affiliation with powerful people for his personal benefit. He doesn't discriminate based on political parties. He just tries to use his connections to make money. I also don't disagree that if he is guilty of his alleged crimes he should be in jail. However....depending upon which penitentiary he is in....solitary may be a bit excessive. If he is in no danger it reeks of political punishment. And we should all be against that.
