No less than ten times in this thread has it been pointed out to you that people are detained daily across the country by different levels of law enforcement.
Your sole response?
"How many weeks?"
You'd catch a little less grief if you'd actually debate anything. Or at least concede that detention is not solely some mystical rite of magical brown people.

She's nuts.

Emotionally driven propaganda sponges are just like conspiracy theorists. They lock out everything that makes them think about anything but what they want their reality to be.

Yes, and they can start by getting rid of you, Billy,

he has received "a dozen calls" from business owners in the state who are facing labor shortages as workers with valid work permits remain at home out of fear
So, these folks are supposed to be here and are here.

Homeland Security has identified its target as immigrants without legal status and with criminal histories. However, law enforcement records obtained by the Associated Press show that less than a third of the 38 arrests that occurred in the first two days of the operation involved people with criminal records beyond traffic violations.
So, they targeted the worst, then kept other criminals they came across inadvertantly?

I just don't know
He got that right, and it is good of him to admit he has no clue. Maybe he could add up the costs of housing, schooling, feeding, and jailing illegals in LA and then he may know if it is good for them to go home.

When they detail lawful US citizens? I don't know the statute. Are you implying that's within the scope of ICE's mission?
Reasonable suspicion is a standard used in criminal procedure to assess the legality of a police officer's decision to stop or search an individual. Reasonable suspicion requires specific, articulable facts that would lead a reasonable officer to believe that criminal activity is occurring.

Can’t let perfection be the enemy of the good.
So even if just 1 person is detained and they are legal, it should be shut down? You can’t possibly think this.

Saw they did a similar report in Chicago and one of the people they knighted for was a convicted child predator. But let's just take the press at their word this time

Have you watched the news?
They're scared to death because they are being led to believe by the corrupt news media that anyone with brown skin is being rounded up - papers or no papers.
Those same media types are also cultivating the lie that Trump said he would only deport the dangerous criminals. Of course, he never said that. He said criminals would be first, but he never said we would allow non-gangbangers to stay so they can rob us blind via government benefits.

Now my ex for decades wanted a live in maid in Houston, late 80's, and said that we could get a young illegal for next to nothing because they were used to living in not much more than mud houses in Mexico. She was with us one night and gone in the morning along with ex wife's jewelry, including wedding and engagement rings. Never saw her again.

Not Louisiana but spoke with a chemical company owner/CEO who lives in Northern Minnesota this morning. He was a bit excited that ICE rounded up 43 illegal Somalis way up there and had them in his county jail. That's part of the reason he hired a president for day to day needs at their corporate office in Minneapolis. He was tired of all the Somali crap.

They actually created and participated in the world's largest human trafficking ring.
