Look at the COVID charts. The behavior in communities follows a pattern. Make a mandate on the way up and you’re guaranteed to be right. It’s not causal.

-Issues mask mandate during downtrend after peak.

-Claims mask mandate is what caused downtrend.

"We're going in the right direction, but the amount of COVID risk remains high," State Health Officer @JoeKanter said about COVID-19 in Louisiana right now

Said there was a 40% reduction in hospitalizations since @LouisianaGov's 2nd mask mandate

Several posters on this board rightly called this response way back when bc it was clear Rt was on the steep decline and getting close to 1 when he instituted the “mandate”. The peak and steep decline was going to happen soon and they knew it.

frick him and Joe Kanter. If I were driving an 18 wheeler and they were in the road, I suspect my brakes would give out.

I think if he stepped out of his ivory tower for a minute he would see he got ignored this time on the mandates. All this proved is that a 40% reduction happened without masking up. So, yea. Never wearing the masks again. We just got our study. He was unbiased in that 40% because he thought masks were on. Fool

What? We were in a downward trend when the mask mandate went into effect?

I would like to thank the poster that taught me what the rt value is and what it means.

Louisiana rt value was 1.04 on the day he reissued the mask mandate, August 2nd. (Down from 1.52)

Crossing the 1.0 threshold means cases drop.

I fully expect you to ignore this because the facts don't support your claims.

Speaking of rt, how does it work on adjusting the value? I checked it the other day for Louisiana and it was .4 something. Today it shows it as .7, but shows it still going down. When you hover on the chart to look at previous days it shows it as .7 something instead of .4 something. They continually adjust previous days as they get more data?
