Y’all literally have the WORST state, yet you fight tooth and nail to keep the minimum wage at $7.25

No wonder you have so many people on government assistance, they make more money sitting at home while y’all complain about fast food restaurants being understaffed.

Southern states always score low in these rankings.

We all know the reason, but we dare not speak it.

Plenty of people already dared on the first page.

who should be limited in voting abilities.

frick people voting for more property taxes, or for people who will raise taxes, without any skin in the game.

I'm certain our Dem, GOP and RINO reps would tell us different and how great they are.
They like to hog local TV airtime but not do anything.

And the leadership is representative of the taker mentality.

I’ve worked in the civil works industry the past few years. I’m absolutely disgusted by the way business is done here, if you want a project (or to even be in the conversation), it’s going to cot you. That culture runs deep.

And LA politicians are in charge of the federal money in the pipeline. It’s a joke.

Yeah making corporations/businesses pay more will certainly draw more businesses. What a moron. I wonder what would happen to prices/number of jobs?

So the economy is handicapped because of that in addition to the workforce, which makes it too costly to build infrastructure here, which prevents people from wanting to move here, and so on goes the circle of life
once they finish the water park in Lacassine (hearing Q2 this year), everything will change and Louisiana will see sharp improvements in all metrics.

I've had several friends originally from Ill. They all say the state is going to hell because high taxes in small towns and cities go to keep Chicago afloat.
Maybe the same thing is happening to us with New Orleans.

It’s cheaper to build in Texas than to build in LA. I’m in construction and can’t even figure that out. Quality here sucks as well.

Only until Puerto Rico becomes a state, then LA will be 51st.

How could your last-ranked shithole get any worse though? Might wanna actually try something to make it better instead of just blaming black people for all of Louisiana’s problems.

Totally agree.

Trump won LA by 20 points.
Cassady won LA by 40 points.
Dems hold only one US House seat in LA.

This is not the gotcha you think it is.

Federal politicians aren’t solving state problems.

This is a local problem and every major city is run by Democrats.
