Yes, because the odds of these idiots getting slapped on wrist, released, and then never causing physical or financial injury are infintessimally small...

The federal court order that barred Louisiana from housing incarcerated youth at the state penitentiary at Angola expired in December.

I didn't say it needed to be within Angola, just right next to it. An entirely separate facility

We need restorative justice for these folks.

If you aren’t allowed to vote until you’re 18, you shouldn’t be tried as an adult, it’s very simple. You are either an adult a 18 or you aren’t. 17 is not an adult.

Good. 13 year olds who are out carjacking, robbing, and killing need to be thrown in genpop for the rest of their worthless lives. These "teens" who have mile long rapsheets need to be put down like the feral animals they are.

Oh ok. Angola encompasses 18,000 acres.

Looks like it would cost the state a lot of money to implement this legally.

It cost $300 per day to lock up a juvenile as opposed to $30 a day for an adult. It’s one reason all of these violent juveniles are on the street. City’s can’t afford to lock them up and not enough bed space. Move the age back down to 17.

We have 18 yr olds in Juvenile lockup with 12-13 yr olds. There is more violence in juvenile facilities than adult.

17 year olds who rape and murder are tried as adults.

This is not always the case. It’s the discretion of the DA in the parish.

Just put a bullet in most of these animals. Most are beyond rehab and will offend again, probably committing worse crimes

I would like to see Louisiana provide more support for mothers so that abortion would never seem like the best response to an unplanned pregnancy

How about you close your legs and use birth control instead of using abortion as birth control. Just because you are a whore, that doesn’t give you the right to murder as a form of birth control

So lower the drinking age to 18? How about Obamacare that mandates “kids” be on their parents insurance until 26? Some laws are full of hypocrisy
