Another thing Louisiana is fricking up on from what I hear are paying folks unemployment benefits.....about 25% of benefits owed are in.....limbo and that is just for W2 people.

Big difference in traveling for business and pleasure. New Orleans is one of the top tourist destinations in the world, not something any city in Texas can claim. People may fly into their international airports as a stop over but they are not staying and interacting with thousands at the legendary book depository in Dallas. Population density is the driving force behind this virus, New Orleans and surrounding metro is tiny so the tens of thousands of tourist who are in town on any given weekend(millions in the weeks when this whole virus was hitting the US) are all likely interacting with each other and the locals. Your suburbs 45 minutes away are safe.

New Orleans is what saved JBE's bacon last fall and gave him a second term after Rispone pissed off enough Abraham voters throughout the state.
