My borderline dyslexia read that as "Tally Whacker".

Wait, she is being disqualified because a political opponent's spouse fricked with her tax returns? Am I reading that correctly?

Wow. I truly think Wicker would have given Broome a run for her money.

I really don’t see how this stands. You put LDR employees on the stand under oath to talk about returns processing and it will prove Wicker’s case.

Has BRAC done a canvass trip to Jackson, MS yet? Might be a good time.

The spouse is in charge of verifying she filed.

I think LDR just fricked up filing her returns entirely. Especially if they were paper rather than electronic.

The one year I had to pay, I got a letter from them claiming I never paid. I showed up with bank records noting the cancelled check to them and they quietly admitted that someone made a major frickup.

yes but none of that will happen before the election so the scheme works to illegally deny an opponents right to run

dimrats have been doing these things for a long time and know how to game the system

Wicker could get an emergency injunction keeping her in the race claiming irreparable harm if a stay isn’t issued and that she is highly likely to win her case.

The former is clearly true. I find the latter to be true.

A political opponent’s spouse appears to be Broome’s (via proxy of course) best witness.

unpaid taxes didn't stop Latoya from becoming a mayor

Neither did her use of her city-issued credit card to buy thousands of dollars in personal items.

Yeah, the fact that the person in charge of the records is married to a Brooke campaigner is kinda suspect.

According to Tara Wicker's Facebook, she was having a Tara-thon today at 5:30pm. I wonder if that is cancelled.

I’d imagine this will be appealed immediately.

I bet it goes on anyway.

She’ll rally and claim that she got DQed because SWB is too scared she will win and that she will fight this in court so that the people’s voices will be heard.

Why is filing state taxes a pre-requisite for running for office? What if the candidate was not employed during a given year?
