Sure they can
A LOT of RINO’s voted for JBE
Ascension which Trump won by 20,000, Rispone won by 2,000
Trump won Tangipahoa, JBE won Tangi.
Many Voted for JBE because they probably knew him or knew someone that did know him. Wife’s dad is grew up with the man. Still doesn’t mean I’m going to vote for the POS. Dude has wrecked LA

If that's the best they got, then you're wrong. The national democrat machine is well-oiled and ready to mangle people that just recite party rhetoric.

Louisiana is a mostly republican state. The major problem is that the LAGOP is one of the most poorly run, dumbest organizations in the history of politics. The democrat party in this state has their shite together. They run one major candidate while the republicans will have 3 or 4 bashing the hell out of each other just to get into the runoff. By the time the runoff comes around republicans whose candidate didn't make the runoff end up not voting or vote for the democrat out of spite.

This (58-38 R) was my exact conversation recently.
Why do our voters elect a Democrat Governor but yet be so strongly in favor of a Republic Presidential candidate?
The only thing I've come up with - many Republicans voted for JBE because "they thought he was a good man that had done a descent job in his first term and they didn't know enough about Rispone".

I'd like to see Garrett Graves throw his hat in the ring and see what type of traction he can get

LA is an electoral college Red State, no question. The Governor is a shoe in Democrat. Is that what youte supposed to believe?
It's not a shoe in for either party. We've had a number of Republican governors in my lifetime - Jindal, Mike Foster, Buddy Roemer etc. Louisiana seems to elect the most widely known candidate regardless of party affiliation or policy stances. It's a weird arse state from a political standpoint.

Outside of family, can you honestly give me three reasons worth staying for?

He's more electable than Billy Fatman and Jeff L, that's for sure.

I'm holding out hope that John Kennedy gets sick of DC and runs for Governor.
I don't like him. He is a disingenuous ladder climber playing a part, but there is no doubt he would win the Governorship if he ran.
I don't think he would run though. He likes the spotlight, and he likes to put himself in positions where he doesn't have a lot of accountability. If he were governor, he would actually have to accomplish something, and he has nothing for ideas.
As a Senator, like when he was treasurer, all he needs to do is deliver some clever sounding soundbites to get over.

Serious? Guys, look at the map on pg 1.
I'll post the link to eligible voters not registered or not voting at all in a bit. It's a ground game. Simple.
