Ryan is a nice family guy that got dragged into the Speakership. He is empathetic and likely Christian - therein His quasi-Socialist leaning - and naively trusting of 'working across the Isle'. Today's Dems are fast becoming all-in Marxist Ideologues and as per the historical record, their politics is a bloodsport. Such is no place for Ryan or the 'Flakes'. If they had half the bravery of Susan Collins - who has saw the light - they might could have hung in there. McConnell and the Old Guard - who were closet Never-Trump - seem to be catching on too. Just in time.

Paul Ryan has always been about taking. He hates tax reform, and was never serious about entitlement reform. Trump was serious about both, but has to get military spending increased.
