No actually it's just the justice department going against trash that thought they were above the law.

Ummm.

Don't break the law and you don't need to be concerned with it.

These Hollywood elites are so fricking pathetic. They are totally disconnected with the real world and the common person's struggles in life.

frick'em. I hope she has a heart attack over all this.

Why the compassion? Make me believe that if this was a politician who had done this you'd be calling for his head on a stick. Politicians aren't the only scum of the earth you know.

$150K isn’t buying you shite. If they donated $5-10 million to build a building or something, then that buys you some clout. The issue is they went the cheap and illegal route and got caught.

You get the nomination for dumbest post of the day.

I can 100% guarantee that her and her millionaire husband have the best legal counsel that money can buy. And i can assure you that said counsel is well versed with knowledge and experience in the Federal criminal system. They have fully apprised this couple of the success rate that the Feds have in successfully prosecutions.

I would further bet everything that they advised the couple to take the original deal that Felicity Huffman ended up taking.

The lawyers advise.

The clients decide.

These two have gone against their counsel’s advice and have fricked themselves so hard. They have chosen to “die on their hill” on their belief that they are innocent of everything and the Feds are just wrong. This is certainly their choice.

Their counsel will zealously defend them and force the Feds to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt before a jury of their peers.

Reality is the original deal is gone. Subsequent deals are gone.
New deal may be presented, but with much more time requested than in the Huffman case.

So that’s how this really went down.

You can blame the situation these two are in on many things, but don’t for a second tell me their counsel has failed them.

Yeah, I know $150K ain't shite for the ballers around here. So maybe she would get a parking spot with her name on it. Point being, this is a real world sitch where 'quid pro quo' applies...I mean, if she can't work out a simple admission to the school for that kind of scratch, well, a fool and (her) money are soon parted...

I could see them getting a sympathetic jury. Might be their angle.

Ask Martha Stewart.

Limo liberals love that big government horse cock right up until the moment it gets jammed up their own arse. Strangely these people still can’t see the irony of their situation.

I get the criminal component...but maybe someone can explain this to me...why in the hell did Aunt Becky et al decide to go this route? I mean, if she called the Dean at USC and said "I wanna donate $150K to the school"...they'd have a frickin' parade for her on campus and put her name on a building somewhere. And of course the dean would make an opening for all the little Aunt Becky's, right? Seems to me they spent more to do this illegally...what am I missing?
I'm guessing that her daughter's are just stupid enough that it would push that donation up into the millions.

How's this: tell your kid "NO". She isn't smart enough for USC so she needs to pick another school to party at. Or get a bf on campus.

It's rare that I agree with you but there is no disputing the truth of this. This was so very avoidable for them but they stepped right into it anyway. Reap what you sow

I suspect that if the whole truth ever gets out, you are going to find that this kind of stuff goes back decades....and administrators have known about this and even encouraged this stuff at these private universities.

defrauding those asking to be defrauded.....everyone wins. USC wins because Gianulli will probably make a substantial donation, the bundler wins and probably kicks money to USC, the kids win......

Like any other crime I suppose. You catch maybe 5% of the perpetrators.

Tucker Carlson did a piece on all the Democrat kids who go to Ivy League schools as a result of their parents being politically connected. Although I doubt it’s a phenomenon constrained by party lines.

Dumb charges.

USC is a private school.

What's the difference between paying an admissions officer or coach and getting your name on a building for a "donation" - both are bribes.
