Lori Loughlin Has Now Been Arrested

On Wednesday morning, Lori Loughlin was taken into custody in Los Angeles in connection with a scheme in which wealthy parents reportedly paid bribes to get their children into elite colleges. According to the Associated Press, Loughlin is expected to appear in court later in the day.
Arrest warrants for Loughlin and Felicity Huffman were delivered on Tuesday following their alleged involvement in a college-entrance-exam cheating scandal. According to CNN, the women were two of around 50 people who were the subject of federal indictment following an extensive FBI investigation named “Operation Varsity Blues.”
Loughlin’s husband, Mossimo Giannulli, was also implicated, and was arrested early on Tuesday morning. Huffman was also arrested on Tuesday, and TMZ reported that she was arrested by seven armed FBI agents. Her husband, William H. Macy, has not been charged in connection to the case. Loughlin, Giannulli, and Huffman are all facing charges of felony conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud. Loughlin was not arrested right away because she was out of the country, according to E! News. She was reportedly ordered to return to the United States to turn herself in on Wednesday morning.

Why on Earth is this thread on the Politics board?? Only two of the accused are ‘celebrities ’, out of like 50 ppl.. and i cant imagine that either conservatives or Progressives would be fans of any of these people and what they’re accused of.

Her daughters can make WAY more money modeling or TV/Hollywood movies. So this does piss me off Miss goody two shoes ruined other kids chances. (There is video of her daughters saying they just want to party in college nothing else)

These are for the most part rich white folks who used privilege and $$ to gain access.. so generally speaking, most ‘Liberals’ wouldn’t like them.. but two of them out of fifty (less than 5%) are celebrities, and a lot of them live on the West Coast, so most Conservatives wouldn’t like them either, generally speaking.. therefore, politically this story is pretty neutralized IMO, and you’d have to be pretty ‘fricking dumb’ to stretch it into something political.
