My take is, liberals or rinos twisted some shite before they ran to the msm. Rather than just saying exactly what the potus said.. they had to add some flair to it and liberal it up before passing it along.

In this context, it's just couching. And it was "do not recall those words specifically." GMAFB. Why not say "I didn't hear him say it," which is still something of a dodge, but would have been a stronger denial. Apparently it made quite a splash in the room. Graham just said he "challenged the president's comments directly" and "appreciated Dick Durbin's comments."

And again, let's not forget that the WH didn't even deny this yesterday. They took a rather defensive posture with respect to the statements, in fact.

Durbin is known for making up statements that didn't happen.
