That's opposite of being transparent. Trunp is transparent. That's just what he does.

If Biden were still in office, you would have gotten your statement and then nothing for 6 months.

People want transparency. And social media has trained people to want it yesterday.

That chopper pilot either did it on purpose or is the worst pilot in human history.

He doesn’t look ignorant. You’re pretending to have some secret aviation knowledge. No one is 1) convinced or 2) impressed.

1) not trying to as everything I’ve already said is not a secret. 2) his message reads the same as me posting about how golfers play when I know nothing of the sport and it’s rules

More vague appeals to vague authority and opaquely claimed “known facts.”

You’re starting to just sound like a troll. Put some meat on the bones of your claim.

This is the best explanation I’ve seen yet than everyone else dick riding because of GEOTUS.

The rest of this message isn’t directed to your message but the other posters: it’s okay to critique your president

The questions he asked are not the correct things to say, it just makes him look ignorant

He points out that the plane looked like it was landing normally, no issues. This appears to be true based on the video.

He points out that the helicopter was driving straight (not ascending or descending) towards the plane for a long period of time. Also appears true from the video.

Then he points out the night was clear with no visibility issues, also true.

He then asks why the helicopter didn’t move to avoid a plane that it looks like it was driving toward for quite some time. He then asks why traffic control didn’t tell the helicopter to reduce or increase altitude (instead of just saying hey don’t you see that plane?)

These are all very good questions that don’t necessarily imply this was intentional. He’s implying that someone messed up royally at least. Regardless, these are all fair questions.

Yes, bodies are still being pulled from the river but you better bet I’d be asking those questions if that were my family and I’d expect our leaders to be doing the same.

Love him or hate him, but he’s not gonna sit around and let PR prepped statements get in the way of asking the tough questions Americans and the families will be asking and deserve to know.

Nowhere did I say it was theAE pilots either.

Then what are you going on about? You agree with DJT that AA pilots were doing exactly has expected. So like Trump said, and everyone in the country is asking, how do the heli go straight into that plane, and why didnt ATC correct that?

There is nothing in that statement that sounds ignorant. And for damn sure the families dont think its ignorant, and wanna know now, not 4 weeks from now, when someone is finally going to be thrown under the bus

The only person on here sounding ignorant are the "think of the families", and Trump needs to wait on information that we all know is trying to be 'massaged' as we speak. You just seem pissed that Trump isnt playing footsie with the ATC or military PR teams. Makes you look ignorant, actually

The dnc have their in now - the media and the dems will blame Trump all day every day for the next two weeks - it will be brought up at every hearing - I hope the American people aren’t stupid enough to fall for it.

Per aviation guy on Fox News, helicopter should have been flying at a max of 200 ft on this route. Accident occurred closer to 400 ft.

8:48:38 p.m. – Air traffic control tower radios the US Army UH-60 helicopter (PAT25) and asks, “Do you have the CRJ in sight?” The helicopter pilot confirms he sees the passenger plane and requests “visual separation” – confirming he is going to try to fly out of the plane’s path.

8:48:56 p.m. – Flight 5342 and the helicopter collide over the Potomac at an altitude of about 300 feet, as the plane was traveling about 145 mph, per the last recordings from FlightRadar24. Air traffic controllers can be heard reacting, and asking, “Did you see that?”

18 seconds between tower asking the helicopter if they see the jet and the collision, if that timeline is accurate.

That seems like an eternity.

* Air traffic controller audio obtained by CNN from LiveATC.net captured air traffic control operators directing the helicopter to pass behind the passenger plane. An air traffic controller said, “PAT 2-5 do you have the CRJ in sight?” The controller then said, “PAT 2-5 pass behind the CRJ.”

Additional air traffic control audio shortly before the collision captures the helicopter pilot saying, “PAT 2-5 has aircraft in sight, request visual separation.” Less than 13 seconds later, the audio then captured audible gasps, including a loud “oooh” in the background apparently from the tower, at the moment of the crash.
