It looks like the helo maintained altitude and the plane descended in-front of it, on it's normal flight path. Not sure what the vertical visibility from the cockpit of a Blackhawk is like, but it's possible they didn't have a visual until it was too late to maneuver.

My issue with the President doing it stands. They are still pulling dead bodies from the water. I mean, goddamn.

It’s great he comes out on most topics with what he says. This is one he should make a statement about the tragedy, prayers for the family and trying to rescue and get as much info as possible. The questions he asked are not the correct things to say, it just makes him look ignorant

Please be specific on how his statement makes him look ignorant. There is no possibilty that this crash was in any way the fault of the American Eagle pilots. They were on final approach to the runway ffs. The AA crew was indeed performing perfectly.

It’s tough being the president. He is. I’m not asking him to be “presidential” regarding politics or debates or whatever, I’m asking on this particular case to not look ignorant.
