Republican voters love Trump.

It's the Republican leadership that is divided on him. Mostly the RINOs.

Get the RINOs out.

Pretty sure Desantis is going to be on Team Trump. He's not running if Trump runs. Desantis gets his re-election as governor this year, then serves through early 2027. Then he can take a few months to relax before the GOP primary campaign kicks off.

Trump is a one-term run.

What do you think it would take for it to be possible? For me it has to start with criminalizing CRT and Gender Theory K-12

In your mind Trump supporters are unhinged idiots and people who just want to see the media meltdown.

You are monumentally out of touch.

Well I voted for Trump and I want a media meltdown

The reality is that having a semi-intelligent, agreeable interaction with you is impossible

I wasn't even really speaking in terms of governance and what can be practically accomplished, I really meant whether Ron would remain the same person all the way into the WH and then work earnestly toward the things you're talking about.

I don't see why he can't make headway on those issues in the WH if he's resolved to do it and he approaches it like he's doing in Florida (no prisoners with media/legislators, taking it to the people). I think CRT will be hard just because it's a more easily bogged down debate, but I gender theory stuff in K-12 is absolutely ripe.

I love this line of thinking. The progressives have all the money, ivy league think tanks, tech monopolies, and legacy media outlets under their thumb. And minority terrorists to lay all our major cities to waste as a last resort. But hey, let’s just map out the next 30 years of republican rule like they haven’t been ahead of us at every fricking turn so far

I’m routinely impressed by many sharp thinkers on this board, but somehow everyone’s brain turns to mush when Trump comes up

The Republican nominee is likely to win if it's possible to win at all (election fraud).

Trump as a candidate would be an immediate lame duck. Therefore, it would be very smart to run with a succession plan in mind...and Desantis is really the only person who fits that mold.

Honestly, "12 years to MAGA" is a brilliant political theme that I think sets the stage for everything that needs to happen.

Trump does care about America.

That's why he needs to destroy The republican party and their symbiotic counterparts on the (D) side.

Tell me what the frick is worth saving about the current Republican Party?

Folks just don't realize how many silent Trump voters there are right now in America.

They will leave no doubt on the next election.

So....because I don't want the President of the United States to be pointlessly divisive to other citizens of the country who may not think exactly like I do, that means I want him to pander to me?

Lets just call all the purple haired weirdos a bunch of purple haired weirdos. That'll make them stop being purple haired weirdos!

As someone who doesn't think Trump has a lot more to accomplish (or really can accomplish), my argument for him becomes more of beating back the left's advance than really taking more ground.

I think we need Ron for that, if it's possible at all.

I think you are in this boat because you don't accept that there is a ton of eggs that need to be cracked should a Republican win...many within the party itself.

You are going to need to get rid of McConnel AND McCarthy. The entire power structure will be neutered. The Republican party will no longer be the party of Bush...Trump and Desantis will own it.

You need Trump for that, and then Desantis for 8 years to rebuild everything when done.

Idiot. RINO’s aren’t republicans and they aren’t needed. Plus Trump won both times.
