Jeff Landry vs. Billy Nungesser for the Republican nomination?

And the LA GOP just endorsed him so now I'm skeptical. Our state is so weak politically. Bunch of moderates calling themselves Republicans. Trump ruined politics for me. Almost wish he hadn't been president so I could enjoy the slow boil like I used to.

We don't have a Republican nomination. Unless someone gets over 50 percent of the vote in the primary the top two finishers in the primary advance to a runoff--regardless of political party.
State GOP just endorsed Landry...but that doesn't mean anything if any other bigger names get in the race.

The state GOP just endorsed Landy so I don't know if Billy even bothers to run now. It could well be that they flipped a coin to decide who would run this time and who would just try to hold their current office for two more terms (since they are both young enough) and Jeff won the flip. In other words, their coming out and supporting Landry this early while Billy is still deciding makes me think some sort of deal was struck (similar to the last Governor's race where Billy agreed he wouldn't say nor do anything involving the Governor's race in exchange for JBE giving Billy more of a seat at the table during the 2nd term).
If this is the case and Kennedy, Scalise nor Graves runs, Landry will likely be the next Governor (at least as things sit right now) as no one else with any sort of name recognition has even been bandied about.

Landry just seems like an insincere media whore that tries too hard to get into the headlines...so I guess not different than most politicians.

Was my next door neighbor growing up. Great lady and would make an outstanding Governor
Which is exactly why she isn’t going to win

The same LAGOP that got you Vitter - which ultimately got you JBE, and then fricked up the Rispone/Abraham thing so badly he stayed in there.
The LAGOP is so fricking awful, they should be dissolved by the national GOP and then reestablished.
It's a complete joke of an organization that just rakes in campaign money in spite of themselves. I'm not saying Jeff Landry isn't the best candidate (yet), but how in the hell can you endorse this early?
Complete and total clown show.

Jeff Landry should be the next governor. Democrats don’t have another JBE and anyone more left than him, will never be elected governor of this state.

You may be more appealing than anyone else running.
