These large outbreaks of viral afflictions among Americans is directly attributed to the influx of unvaccinated immigrants who have avoided or are being allowed to bypass the proper process established for foreign nationals seeking entry into the country.
Only partly true. There's a big outbreak of measles up in NY right now and it is being blamed on "ultra" Orthodox Jews, some of whom do not believe in vaccines. Many of these people visit Israel routinely and the measles is believed to have spread from there to here. Israel is trying to convince them to vaccinate.
So it's not just shitholers. There's first world people who refuse vaccines for religious or ethical reasons, or because they believe in conspiracy theories.

I’m not arguing vaccines, but you need to do your homework on the Wakefield study. You’ve apparently bought into a widely spread crock of shite.

He’s not in jail that I know of. Link?
From the study:
quote:
We did not prove an association between measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine and the syndrome described. Virological studies are underway that may help to resolve this issue.
quote:
If there is a causal link between measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine and this syndrome, a rising incidence might be anticipated after the introduction of this vaccine in the UK in 1988. Published evidence is inadequate to show whether there is a change in incidence22 or a link with measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine.23
quote:
Final sentence of the study: “Further investigations are needed to examine this syndrome and its possible relation to this vaccine.”
That is the last sentence to the study. Is there another Wakefield study out there you are referring to?

But Washington State / Oregon has a large population of Mormons who do a lot of missionary work and sometimes bring diseases back with them. I think some of the anti-vaccine stuff started out there as well.

The anti vaccine movement is an odd alliance of new age/alternative medicine liberals and batshit fundamentalists.
Very weird coalition.

LMAO!This is perhaps one of your most idiotic statements on this subject.
You DO realize homeless people have been around for decades in Cali and Washington, correct? You also realize (I hope) that measles were pretty much eradicated in this country in 2000,correct?
Gee,wonder what happened in the 19 years since 2000? Care to take a guess?

Measles was declared eliminated (absence of continuous disease transmission for greater than 12 months) from the United States in 2000. This was thanks to a highly effective vaccination program in the United States, as well as better measles control in the Americas region.
