So if your kid gets busted for financial fraud, you should lose your job as a result?
This is just a completely irrelevant analogy to what actually happened.
wow
But,= if that, for some reason, pisses dad's employer off enough to want to fire him, yep, tough shite.

i agree with anything bad coming the way of the protesters AND anyone supporting them, but here i think some info is missing from the story.
if the dad agreed with what his son did then the action not to hire him was fair, if the father wasnt asked his position on it or if the father did not agree with what his son did then he shouldnt be deprived of any opportunity simply because his son is a racist idiot.
judge each person by their own individual actions and opinions and nothing else, that is only fair

The "crime" or "action" is irrelevant. Why should a dad lose his job because of his grown son's actions?
What job did he have that he no longer has?

What makes you think the sons version is accurate? I highly doubt it is
No idea who he is nor how accurate it is TBH, just speaking as if the situation was in fact true.
Maybe I'm very much in the minority here, but being held responsible for the actions of your grown son is ludicrous to me.

The dad didn't lose his job.

LOL.
Why do I suspect that this story is missing a LOT of relevant detail.

Again, why do you believe this was the sole reason?

Agree.
But I still think it is crazy to hire or not hire based on if a man's son stands or kneel.

That's kinda fricked up to take it out on his dad

Just going by the facts that were presented here. Why do you believe this wasn't the sole reason?

Thats what happens when your son is a flag burner

First, I doubt this story is true at all but, if it is........when you read the story, it says his dad "lost work" as a contractor working on a house because someone didn't GIVE him the work after the kneeling.
Frankly. I see zero issue with that. I mean, it's not something I would do, but, if I'm hiring someone to put cabinets in or something like that, I can change my mind any time I want prior to contracting you. For any reason.
And, honestly, "you raised a kid who is racist" is a decent reason to me.

If this is true, then Trump has only poured gasoline on this dumpster-fire protest shenanigans.
I believe all of this was set to fizzle out after a few more months, but when Trumo decided to inject the Office of the Presidency into this, he created a new tit-for-tat that there is no turning back from.
People are going to start being denied all kinds of services and opportunities based on party affiliation now.
Trump doesn't realize he is expediting, and now facilitating the end of this country.

Start? You don't think this was already happening (on both sides)?

I see your point. The story probably isn't really what happened. Just saying, in a hypothetical situation, making a decision that negatively impacts someone because of something their grown son did is irrational in my opinion.
