Thanks. I remember what a classic game that was with our 2013 team against Johnny Football but we found out about an hour before the game and were just in shock the whole time.

And to think I once watched that cheesy show. There wasn't a good actor in the whole lot. It was like they were reading their lines. The Roper's and building manager were especially bad.

My father died of the same thing 40 years ago this October.
My father was trimming some bushes in his front yard and just suddenly collapsed. His neighbor at the time was an internist and the neighbor’s young son saw my father collapse and went to get his dad. The neighbor was with my father minutes after he collapsed and was performing CPR on him when the ambulance arrived. The neighbor even used the ambulance defibrillator on my father but it was no use, he was DOA at the hospital.

A nurse who worked with my wife at her hospital had an aortic dissection mid-shift, was in the OR within 5 minutes of collapsing, and he still died from it.

If it’s a bad one, your aorta just tears open and all your blood spills out internally. Not much can be done. Sucks. It’s like my MIL. She had a brain aneurysm pop and she was gone in a few hours. We could all be walking around with ticking bombs in us we have no idea about. Enjoy every day.

Blood pressure is different for different people. My mother's blood pressure would have made any MD or RN not familiar with her history to rush her to the hospital immediately. She could function at all if it was as low as high. She died from her 3rd bout with cancer in 35 years

My sister worked as an OR tech for almost 20 years with a couple of Level 1 trauma vascular surgeons who did a lot of trauma/emergency cases, and repaired many triple A's not trauma related.
Most Anterior Aortic Aneurysms are unknown unless they are found when screening for something else. If they rupture they are fatal. There is not enough time to stop bleeding and do anything.

Will be interesting to find out if he was ever diagnosed with cardiovascular disease and given any type of medication? How often did he go in for physicals? Was he in normal sinus rhythm? I am his age and I know those things.
