Most true Libertarians think government borders are an infringement on individual liberty.

But in the context of a nation with no entitlements, no minimum wage laws, no laws that limit freedom of association, and a government that limits its scope to keeping order and protecting property rights.

Any of the planks can seem ridiculous if cherry picked without the entire context.

I still believe that true libertarianism is naive and unworkable, but in proper context it's a lot more sensible than populism.

Oh, the irony in that statement.

Donny sucks bro admit it, most people think as much. But dig you head in the sand until Election Day, you’ll see what happens soon enough.

Yeah, that’s how Americans communicate that a person sucks - electing the person to the Presidency, and not by a small margin either.

Just gamed yourself again. You cannot "rebrand" conservatism. Conservatism is about CONSERVING the original intent of a nation's founding document. If you rebrand it, you PROGRESSED it, thereby becoming a progressive and not a conservative

Holy crap, the level of stupidity

Edmund Burke was a member of British parliament. He was GREATLY trying to rebrand the original intent of Britain's founding documents. You need to stop. Its embarrassing

Next the US was founded on religious principles. That foundation no longer exists because you atheist shits are running around trying to undo that link. Thats the massive gap between liberal - tarians and conservatives. Dont pretend that your attacks can be shrouded by claims of libertarianism

Abortionists
Child pornographers
Open borders
Advocates for an organization like the ACLU
Permits sex reassignment surgery, and counseling
Separation of church influence from state rules and principles
Oppose school vouchers, because religious schools get funded
Legalize drugs
Recognize limited authority, esp the church

And that list came from the Cato Institute. And being a "true" libertarian should should well be familiar with them

So he was rebranding British conservatism prior to the establishment of US conservatism, but somehow he is important. Ok baw. Conservative ideals change from country to country. I hope you know that. Locke was who inspired our government the most. Not Burke.

I ignored this the first time, but think it is important. It shows you lost before you even began. You made assumptions and deragory comments immediately. Very Christian of you brother. I will give you a hint. I am not atheist. I am Christian.

You then go on to list a bunch of things you "think" I support. You are a clown. There is only two I do support and our founding fathers supported them as well.

Sep of Church and State. Authoritarian right-wing progs like you definitely want a theocracy.

Recognize limited authority, esp the church - of course. Why would I want limited authority of the state just to give another ruling body more?

Cato Institute = joke...same as you my baw

He was defining conservatism for the known world. John Locke was "father of liberalism". They were both English, so its pretty obvious Burke extolled ideas that Locke did not
quote:

Norman calls Burke "the first conservative."

Burke wrote of the attempt to found policy only in the social sciences. The "simplifying assumptions" which animate modern economics ignore man's social nature, and cannot grasp the transgenerational character of human society. Political judgments involve trade-offs that social science cannot always resolve. Statesmen must preserve the particular moral community in which judgments about shared goods are possible—not viewing human beings as analytical archetypes but considering them in the variety of their motivations.

Because you dont read for comprehension

The list was from the Cato Institute about libertarian beliefs. Since you dont believe in them stop calling yourself a libertarian. The Cato Institute is THE THINK TANK for libertarians
quote:

The Cato Institute officially resists being labeled as part of the conservative movement because "'conservative' smacks of an unwillingness to change, of a desire to preserve the status quo

Exactly/ Conservatives are for preserving what made this country the greatest in history. Libertarians are not conservatives. They embrace change. And they are not MAGA. Quit pretending you are either

And the father of liberalism was who inspired our FFs. I mean, you love free enterprise, ownership of private property, etc. If you do and wish to conserve those ideals, as set forth by our Constitution, you are an American conservative since you wish to conserve traditional American values.

American conservatism =/= British conservatism

If not, you are a right-wing progressive who wishes to progress this nation into something you think is better.

Embrace it bruh. Embrace what you are.

Oh, I did comprehend. I just chose to ignore the stupid, personal attacks.
quote:

How can you not get this? I even posted the political chart amd explained it once.

Libertarian party is a party. It does not represent all or even the bulk of libertarians. How is this so hard for you?
quote:

Exactly/ Conservatives are for preserving what made this country the greatest in history

Being that it was Classic Liberalism that made this country great, then all who wish to conserve those ideals (ie true American conservatives) are trying to conserve it.
Dumbasses who confuse ideals and wish to progress to a more authoritian right are not true conservatives, no matter how much they whine and cry on a message board. You sir are that authoritarian right. Basically a neo-con or some other nonsense.
quote:

Libertarians are not conservatives. They embrace change.

More obfuscation
quote:

And they are not MAGA

Most decidedly not since MAGA is not even close to conservatism and I never claimed I was. MAGA did get my vote twice, so hold your head high over that. Never again. Only way to save this place is to watch it all burn down and water that tree of liberty.

Good luck when that happens and know this...right-wing progs like yourself brought it on. I did not.

We are compromising our way to socialism. Every iteration of Republican and Democrat is getting more and more liberal. I want gov’t limited to what the Constitution clearly lays out. If that’s what you believe to be most important, there’s only two parties that specifically articulate that as part of their platform: Constitution Party and Libertarian Party.

I advocate for either of those over Rs and Ds.
