There is nothing Trump would do that would cause me to align myself with you homosexuals on the left.
Nothing.
Anything is better than what you've revealed yourselves to be in the last six years.
Anything.

Chuck Schumer, Elizabeth Warren, and Rosie agree.

We aren't covering for him...we are carrying him on our shoulders, while we laugh at libs like you.

“We said from the beginning that this North American trade war is the dumbest in history, and we were being kind.”
You realize, as of yesterday, Trump has won the trade wars in North America. All offending countries that have been unfairly applying tariffs and VATs and fees have agreed to America's terms due to the prospect of retaliatory tariffs. So you and the wall street journal need to find another McGuffin to freak out over.

I’m begging you lemmings to stop following the Pied Piper and his bullshite trade war. Open your eyes. Lay off of the Trump dust and use your brains. This is beyond foolish and stupid. The sooner y’all get on board, the sooner we can stop this unmitigated disaster
All of these words, and not a single argument against the tariffs. Just "these tariffs are dumb, derrrrrr". If you want to convince me to see things your way, try giving me reasoning and logic.

OK, you cannot be taken seriously. If this were true, there wouldn't be so much sky-screaming from the Left over DOGE and eliminating government waste. Name one Democrat who is currently in favor of this.

It’s not really a war when you have a nuclear weapon and the other side has rocks.

We have already won this "trade" war. Kinda hard to call it a war when it lasted about 10 minutes though.

What is your proposal? You think we should allow other countries to dissuade their citizens from buying American products with their tariffs while we sit back and take it up the arse? You think we should import most things we need as a society? What happens in a crisis when they choose not to provide what we need? You think it’s smart to give the their countries that kind of leverage? If you had even half a brain, you’d realize Trump is trying to accomplish a number of things with these tariffs.
1. Foreign investment here in the US
2. American companies moving manufacturing and jobs back to the US
3. Less reliance on others to provide what we need to survive
4. As the largest consumer it provides leverage against others to get what we want
whether it be goods or something else
Yes there will be short term pain but again as the largest consumer they will fold and give us what we want while we work on bringing jobs and manufacturing back to our own country.

While I still occasionally read the Journal, think about who their target consumer is....
Globalist, Corporatist, and pro-MIC.
They want free markets, when it suits their agenda

Literally every Democrat is hyperventilating at DOGE.

I can’t understand why you would want to completely screw our economy over and spin us into a recession.
I remember your thread when we were in a recession during Biden's term...oh wait, you didn't start one. Remember, when the MSM decided to redefine the definition of a recession?
quote:
This is his fault. He owns this and so do you for voting for him because you wanted this to happen.
Interesting because the retaliatory tariffs never went into affect because the countries targeted have all folded before the date they were to be enacted. So how again, is this "his fault", and please define what "this" is.

Live here now, but not from Michigan. From Louisiana.
You relate more to Canadians because you essentially live in Canada. The idea that OMB because he won’t allow Canada to pillage the American taxpayer in the form of 250 billion dollar a year trade deficits, while simultaneously they allow fentanyl to pour through their ports and our northern border, is arguably the most dumbass un-American position someone can take.
Canada is almost worth nothing to America. Maybe when it becomes New India team Hindu will be more appreciative.

For all the "conservatives" who have cried over the tariffs, you should realize that the idiot in the OP is who you are aligning with, someone who thinks government spending drives GDP.

200+% tariffs on US is ignored and yet the media reports unfairly on the 10-25% tariffs issued on Canada

And the 401K will grow back stronger, what exactly is it you don’t understand?

The thing about 401k’s is they go up and down in cycles. You won’t like living in a place where it just went up

Does government spending not generate economic activity? Their payrolls get spent by individuals, their contracts with the private sector drive revenue in many market segments.

You dumbfrick....the WSJ hasn't been conservative for two decades.

If you’re near retirement, it could be a gut punch depending on what is crashing. If you’re still on the front end, you really should just not bother opening the app until we’re back on the recovery side.
