So three deep red state governors? Yes. Trump’s position was substantially different. Not giving him a pass. But you can’t compare (or more accurately, equate) the two positions.

It’s really odd the prism through which Trump sycophants view 2020. You’d swear it was a normal thing to lock down the economy, stop educating children and suspend individual rights for viruses before Covid.

But even they faced big time pressure from the media, CDC, etc. But they didn't buy it and had others providing inputs and they listened. As far as red states.....yes they are.
But DeSantis barely won the governors race and Beto came close to beating Cruz.
Trump caved to media, Fauci, CDC/WHO. He didn't stand his ground, didn't keep the pressure up on them. He eventually caved on alternative treatments, didn't push the issue of it coming from a lab, allowed Fauci to shut this country down.

Bad: -The Tea Party had been gaining power since 2010 and brought to the fore, the IRS targeting, abolishing Obamacare and pushing 2016 candidates to abolish it. Trump overpowered them unfortunately and put them to pasture, which is not good for us.
One of the dumbest things posted on this board…..and I’ve posted some dumb shite

You wasted your time....TRUMP has been dissected like a lab frog...DJT is the most known commodity in the WORLD!

Lets run Trump through the vetting machine too
Trump has been run nonstop through the vetting machine since 2015. NON. STOP.
And nothing has stuck to him, including two bogus and likely illegal impeachments based on rumors and fabricated tales.

Trump would be in jail if he broke any law. I don’t understand why he surrounded himself with terrible people.

Yeah, More deaths under Biden with a vaccine.
Obviously we can’t go back and redo this, but would be interesting to see if Trump won reelection would the liberals still be pushing the vaccine.

Because he likes talking about going to war and cleaning house more than he likes doing it.

It's been his biggest flaw.
When he first put his staff together and brought Omarosa on, I was seriously like
I really thought, "well at least that's out of the way and things will get better" when she left... But nope. I like Trump and what he did for America, but he needs to convince people that he will make better choices in personnel if he somehow beats fraud and lands in the White House again...
I mean, Hope Hicks and Ric Grinell were home runs. Give us more of that, and the administration will be formidable and aggressive.

Florida has now joined the list of states that are ordering residents to remain in their homes for all but essential activities to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis made the announcement at an afternoon briefing

McConnell and the House GOP leadership killed the Tea Party before Trump ever came down the escalator of Trump Tower.

Um...John McCain did that. I watched it happen, live. I hope that motherfricker burns in Hell for eternity.

I was living in New Orleans. Trump did not institute vaccine mandates in New Orleans. The Mayor did.
The prism you view things in isn’t odd at all, it’s been happening for seven years now and it’s called TDS. It’s easy to spot.

Based on what? What compelled the mayor of No to do that?

Not Trump.
You can’t gaslight me. Trunp had nothing to do with businesses shutting down in New Orleans, nor did he have anything to do with mask mandates or vaccines mandates. Hell there were businesses asking to check your vaccine status even before Latoya gave the mandate. She didn’t even follow what the democrat governor was doing.
These are liberal as frick people.
Avegno and Cantrell were calling the shots there.
Just like desantis chose to shut Florida down then reopen. Just did it sooner than others.

DeSantis (FL), Noem (SD), Abbott (TX) were a few that woke up to the crap Fauci was selling.
Trump let each state decide for itself how to handle Covid. He was roundly criticized for doing it, but held firm. He championed the research for, and use of, alternate treatments. He expedited the manufacture of ventilators when there was expected to be a shortage of them. Let's face it, he did as well, or better, than anyone else could have done in that situation.

Abbott forced masked mandates and required testing and quarantine for out of state travellers. Desantis forced 2 week quarantines on interstate travellers.
