IRAN needed to be taken out.....and everybody knows this!....but not many will admit it....I will. The world is a better place with a subdued Iran, period!

Nothing will change about Iran’s behavior.

Iran is not the nation it is because of a small group of people. There are tens of millions of people there who support and/or tolerate the mullah/Shia/IRGC religious state. Tens of millions. A minority? Maybe. But a large one.

We have done nothing other than break replaceable things and kill replaceable people.

We have not “taken out Iran” by destroying their conventional military capability for a few years. They didn’t do anything with their military and already weren’t a conventional military threat to anyone. Their navy was a joke and wasn’t needed to asymmetrically close the strait. Their Air Force was 1970’s US/USSR equipment.

We don’t have goals that make any sense in this war.

You have kids ? If so do you not worry about their continued threat as last 40 years of the Mideast turmoil? Can’t you just give peace a chance, after they are dealt with?

It’s really not what I voted for, but we’re bombing a bunch of assholes, so the whole thing’s a wash with me.

All of that sounds more like a Democrat's wet dream than what is actually happening. You can take a single snapshot in time and get some if that, but it's fricking war, it's not supposed to be easy or pretty. What happens on the other side of it is the goal.

You sound like a retarded boomer.

Do you really believe any of that?

Unrealized gains not realized? Do you think that a short term issue correction isn’t good for the long term? In 08 meltdown the gloomy economy was never going to recover as per the usual naysayers yet it has more than quadrupled

DJT is deliberately running the country into the ground so he can build it back better in his 3rd term.

12 of our 13 based were hit, mate. Plus the "laundry fire" on our $11 billion carrier that took it out of commission for 2-3 months the one time we need it most

There are good things about this war and some I don’t particularly like but your post is over the top and frankly a lot of exaggerated bullshite

I’m doubting that every claim in the OP is true, but…
quote:

do you recommend pallets of cash for promise to play nice (on paper)

This board loves to pretend that the “funding” Iran received through JCPOA was some sort of cash dowry & not release of assets seized under sanction.

Trump lifted sanctions on Iran and Russia and also is letting other countries pay Iran $2M per ship… for safe passage from countries not named USA to countries not named USA. Called it “20 free tankers of oil.”

Now imagine they wind up with a permanent toll on the strait (like suez) on top of this lol.

Hit means nothing. We lost little to no capability from anything that’s happened.

It WAS a laundry fire. Ford was already overextended on deployment. Whether she had this fire (damage repair being done in Croatia, where she will NOT be for months) or not, whenever Ford came home she would be in the dock for months. That’s how the cycle works. Bush was already deploying from Norfolk to relieve Ford, and Ford was already headed to the dry dock regardless of the fire.

Don’t be stupid and insinuate that you think Ford was damaged by enemy fire. That would be visibly apparent.

No, but there seems to be 40 years of issues that a terrorist country has caused. Now if you could just imagine a place where terrorist aren’t financed by Iran. Seems more people worry about immediate future, are you worried about your immediate future or long term prospects?

correct.

Also correct.

I think this war is retarded & even more so if the end result isn’t regime change.

But the OP needs a more than a couple fact checks.

I’m a reasonable and educated person, so no, I’ve never given Iran a single bit of thought when it comes to the safety of me or my family.

They aren’t suicidal and have never been any more unstable than a nation like North Korea.

I also won’t let Carter being a pussy 50 years ago become a rationalization for making bad policy decisions.

I don’t care if Iran finances Hezbollah and they fight Israelis. I really just fricking don’t.
