Why is the thread title still wrong?

I think the thread title is correct in spirit.
He was probably hired as a security guard. He was not legally able to, however.

DENVER — Records show the man being held for investigation in the deadly shooting near dueling demonstrators in Denver on Saturday was working as a security guard but was not properly licensed, 9Wants to Know has learned.
Matthew Dolloff, 30, was contracted through the company Pinkerton by 9NEWS. It has been the practice of 9NEWS for a number of months to contract private security to accompany staff at protests.

And the company that employs him could also face ramifications under the law – the city ordinance requires such companies to make sure all of its security guards are licensed.
But it’s not clear who Dolloff actually works for. In a statement issued Sunday afternoon, Pinkerton officials described him as a contractor.
“We are in the process of still gathering information to better understand the incident that occurred in Denver on October 10 involving a contractor agent,” the statement says. “The agent in question is not a Pinkerton employee. Pinkerton is fully cooperating with law enforcement authorities in their investigation of this matter.”

That isn't legal in some states, not sure about Colorado. Brandishing is considered an armed threat.
It was sure as hell more legal than that shooting was.

quote:Mr. Dolloff has never held the required license with Denver to work as a security guard, said Eric Escudero, a spokesman for the city and county licensing department. “If he was operating as a security guard, he was in violation of the law,” he said.
ETA: Better have a CCWP for Colorado in addition to licensing and bonding as security staff. All of this is going to come under intense scrutiny during the trial.
While Pinkerton had an active license in the city and county of Denver, the company “is legally responsible” for ensuring that its employees are licensed, Mr. Escudero said.

I also believe that the organization antifa decided in much that same way to assassinate "SOMEONE" to contribute to their future plans of further assassinations to attempt to justify them in some twisted Kristallnacht/Long Knives way.

THREAD: I know a thing or two about hiring private security as a journalist and public speaker for 30 years, including contracting security through Pinkerton. So let me drop some facts to deconstruct this heaping pile of @9news manure. /1

Professional security companies, large or small, will generate a paper trail: contracts, mission briefs, e-mails coordinating meet-up times & other scheduling/logistics matters, and after-action reports/memos. /2
quote:
We now know that @9news falsely claimed Dolloff was a Pinkerton employee when he was NOT. No record of him at Pinkerton. Unlicensed and operating illegally in Colorado. Both Pinkerton &
@9news know the real truth of the contract arrangement, but refuse to divulge. /3
quote:
We also know @denverpolice spread FALSE claim that their "investigation" showed Dolloff was not a left-wing radical, when every amateur Internet sleuth found his massive pro-Antifa social media footprint in five minutes after his name was released. /4
quote:
When I used Pinkerton last year on my book tour, they did walk-throughs beforehand, documented contacts, arranged transportation & communicated with my publicist & publisher through the entire gig.
Either these records exist for Dolloff with @9news or they don't.

We now know from @9news bizarro reports that @jeremyjojola & @ZackNewsMan (refused to respond to my inquiry) were with Dolloff at #denvershooting. How many times had they all been together covering #anarchotyranny in Denver this past year? COLORADO PATRIOTS DESERVE TO KNOW. /6
quote:
Text messages & emails on @jeremyjojola & @ZackNewsMan @9news & personal phones/laptops with Dolloff will be key evidence exposing the EXACT NATURE OF RELATIONSHIP between Dolloff - who worked for some other company that Pinkerton refuses bizarrely to name-- and @9news.

What people outside Colorado need to understand is @9news is chock full of left-wing journos who've been smearing conservative patriots in my state all year. It stinks to high heaven that the bogus "security" guy's views just happen to align w/station's Antifa simps' views. /8

Suspected Protest Shooter Matthew Dolloff Had Valid Concealed Weapons Permit

They are, in fact, completely involved with building these into paramilitary wings of the DNC. This should be enough to totally condemn the murders, all Democrat rioting, not only this year but smaller involvement the nation witnessed the last 5 years. Do you condemn these things?

Ridiculous conjecture. Should Jake Gardner have been convicted of a crime for shooting and killing someone attempting to restrain him?
I don't think so at all. People like you are the reason he committed suicide.

Maybe I missed it but was his "client" ever threatened by the victim? If not, why did he confront the victim?

That's not what it looked like in the video. It looked like some trash talk, followed by a slap in the face, which triggered the shooting.
Demonstrations/protests expressing views for or against a particular issue are legitimate. Setting fires and destroying property are not part of demonstrating.
