Robert E Lee is buried on the campus; what will happen with that?
However, that isn't a guarantee. Nathan Bedford Forrest and his wife were disinterred from their graves in Forrest Park in Memphis. Rumor is the Sons of Confederate Veterans, with the blessing of the Forrest descendants, took possession of the remains and they will be re-interred at the SCV headquarters/museum in Columbia, TN

I’ll honestly be shocked if it isn’t renamed “Douglas and King University” by this time next year, rendering their degrees worthless.

Racial makeup of said faculty?
Posted on 7/8/20 at 10:07 am to MeatCleaverWeaver
Headline is misleading - the board has formed committees to research racial issues and their affect on the school. The faculty vote actually carries no actual power except to show “support” for the change, in the end a decision like this is up to the students and the board.

What happens when they remove Washington? Will it be ___ U?

Lee actually served as president of the school. And frankly, the school underwent some pretty formative changes that he spearheaded: the law school, the journalism school, and the student-run honor code were all started under his leadership. Additionally, the school was basically on the brink of financial failure when he arrived, and by his death, they had totally rebounded.
The president of the school still lives in Lee House, where Lee died (Traveler's barn door is never closed in case he wants to ever return), all seniors are invited to a dinner with the school president at Lee House (where Lee's deathbed is still preserved), student assemblies are held in Lee Chapel, which houses the Lee and the Custis families' remains, as well as a Lee museum.
The naming of the school and the reverence for Lee there is simply not in the same vein as the other rash of Confederate monuments and things that may have been done as part of some failed Lost Cause theory and as a pushback to civil rights movements.

He is, as well as most of his family - wife, at least one of his sons, and his father (Rev War hero Lighthorse Harry Lee). All are buried in a crypt under the Lee chapel. I also think Traveler is buried there as well.
Yep, Traveler is there too, right outside the chapel. There are quite a number of Lees and Custis' buried in the basement of the chapel.
Stonewall Jackson is also buried in Lexington and his horse, Old Sorrel, is buried on the parade grounds of VMI, near the Jackson statue.

I’m wondering how long until the school permanently kicks out the Kappa Alpha Order, a fraternity formed there which sees Lee as its spiritual founder.
I'm not at W&L, but I'm a KA, so this is concerning.
