Judging someone by their ability to speak clearly is not racist and in fact is unrelated to race in any way. But your contention that LeBron's shortcomings should be excused because of his skin color is a particularly foul form of racism. Everyone in this thread thinks LeBron is stupid but you're the only one claiming that he's stupid because he's black.

Correct. I would like to nut punch Chris Evans, Patton Oswalt, etc. My hate for moronic liberals crosses all races.

Maybe on the last one (hey, custodial work is honest work), but why "dead," or "in prison?"

Chris Evans, Captain America? You better land your first hit squarely on his dick or it will be a bad fight for you.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it LeBron James who belittled those who opposed his position on China, saying something like he didn't think they "was educated?" And wasn't it Lebron James who almost manufactured his own Jussie Smollett situation, spray painting racial slurs on his own property?

LeBron, to my knowledge, hasn't broken the law, has dedicated himself to lots of civic-minded and/or charitable causes and, in general, is a positive presence.

Yes, and I like my steaks cut an inch thick, and cooked just slightly beyond medium rare, with salt, pepper, and butter. What the frick does that have to do with anything?

Big Bitch TX must be losing the debate, he's played the race card. I don't give a damn if James is magenta, with pink and yellow sparkles. He barely speaks English, while throwing rocks at the supposedly uneducated, for God's sake.

No shite I know he’s not really captain America. But he’s still a decently tall dude who’s pretty jacked

It was casually asserted he would be a criminal if not for basketball. Please give the faux innocence a rest.

His exact quote was this:

quote:

“I don’t want to get into a … feud with Daryl Morey, but I believe he wasn’t educated on the situation at hand and he spoke,” James said before the Lakers hosted the Golden State Warriors in a preseason game. “So many people could have been harmed, not only financially but physically, emotionally, spiritually. Just be careful what we tweet, what we say and what we do. Yes, we have freedom of speech, but there can be a lot of negatives that come with that as well. … Sometimes social media is not always the proper way to go about things as well.”

Interesting how, in your recollection, it became some kind of a-grammatical "ebonics" - as opposed to the very benign, completely reasonable vernacular that it was. I actually don't agree with Lebron on this issue. But I wouldn't say he was "belittling" Morey. (Interesting how Trump is just "telling the truth" when he calls countries shitholes, but Lebron is "belittling" when he disagrees with someone.)

quote:

And wasn't it Lebron James who almost manufactured his own Jussie Smollett situation, spray painting racial slurs on his own property?
I know his property was reported as defaced...are you saying it was somehow shown that he orchestrated it? If so, I'd like to see the proof, because I certainly do not approve of such behavior.

He's been treated in this thread as if he were an illiterate, near-criminal.

Good racism, bro. Just read the quoted remarks above - he speaks English just fine.

I don't think it's a fair comparison. Actors and comedians doing drive-by commentary is different than a global icon who has shown serious interest in youth and community for the entirety of his career (and actually put his money where his mouth is). Agree with his politics or not, Lebron has been a force for good.

Yeah, minus the part about graduating from Harvard/Yale, running a multi-million dollar MLB franchise and being a trained fighter pilot.

Because he seems arrogant, dishonest, and stupid.

I could see him dead or in jail or a menial position but for his ability to put a ball in a basket.

"I don't think a lot of people was educated. And I think that's one of the biggest problems that we have. When it becomes vote time, people are just not educated on either the individual, or what's going on in the state of the world right now."

Indeed.
