Cute dig at Trump.
I'm drawing a parallel.
The US also has elections every 2 years.
Now imagine we suspend elections since 2024, and it's now 2030, Trump is still president, his 2024 majority in congress has never faced reelection, and there is no election in the foreseeable future.
This is what people blindly supporting Z are backing.

Agreed, just because Ukraine is a better play for the US, and Russia was the aggressor does not mean that magically Ukraine can do no wrong.
It's the same with Israel, it's a better play for the US than the Hamas/Fatah side, but that doesn't mean they should be free from criticism and scrutiny.
Exactly.

But the Ukraine Cinstitution is not the same as ours.
Nineteen per cent of our country isn’t occupied by a foreign power.
Much of the US isn’t defending itself against nightly air raids.
Millions of Americans didn’t flee the country.
Ukraine could do better. But my focus is on the nation that has historically caused us issues all over the globe. They support groups who kill Americans and their soldiers have killed Americans. Russia is the problem not Ukraine corruption.

What seems to never be mentioned by the Politards concerning Ukraine. This is not a first in the world over the last 100 years in non authoritarian nations. There definitely is an issue with Russian influence behind the scenes not only in Ukraine but in the EU as well.
While non sequitur, it looks like Orban is in trouble at home with his anti LGBT/Pro Family yeehaw while covering up for PEDOs. Which could make a dent in Putin's influence in the EU thus undermining Russian influence behind the scenes.

Is Ukraine winning yet?
Did Russia's mighty army take Kyiv yet in its 3 day special military operation? That makes the answer, YES!

The court in Estonia sentenced Pavel Kapustin, a Russian citizen living in Narva, to 6.5 years in prison for espionage in favor of Russia.
According to the investigation, Kapustin deliberately established contact with the Russian special service FSB and passed on data relevant to Estonia's security.
Among other things, the Security Police (KaPo) assure that he collected information about the sentiments of Narva residents.
At the same time, Kapustin was engaged in the illegal smuggling of sanctioned goods — mainly luxury items, alcohol, and electronics — from Estonia and other EU countries to Russia.
According to KaPo, Kapustin hired dozens of local residents, training them to bypass customs control rules.
By court decision, in addition to imprisonment, his property worth about 90,000 euros was also confiscated.
After he finishes the 6.5 spent eating mayonaise sandwiches, he will be taken straight to the Russian border and tossed. If there is a Russia by then.

I gathered all heads of Ukraine’s law enforcement and anti-corruption agencies, along with the Prosecutor General. It was a much-needed meeting — a frank and constructive conversation that truly helps. We all share a common enemy: the Russian occupiers. And defending the Ukrainian state requires a strong enough law enforcement and anti-corruption system — one that ensures a real sense of justice.
Criminal proceedings must not drag on for years without lawful verdicts. And those who work against Ukraine must not feel comfortable or immune to the inevitability of punishment.
I am grateful to all participants of today’s meeting: the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, the National Agency on Corruption Prevention, the State Bureau of Investigation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Prosecutor General. Thank you for your willingness to work as a team — as Team Ukraine — and in the interests of Ukraine. We agreed that everyone would work solely in a constructive manner.
We all hear what society is saying. We see what people expect from state institutions — ensured justice and the effective functioning of each institution. We discussed the necessary administrative and legislative decisions that would strengthen the work of each institution, resolve existing contradictions, and eliminate threats. Everyone will work together. At the political level, we will provide support.
We agreed that next week, there will be an in-depth working meeting on the joint action plan. And in two weeks, a joint plan must be ready — outlining the steps that are needed and will be implemented to strengthen Ukraine, resolve existing issues, deliver greater justice, and truly protect the interests of Ukrainian society.

Z's main goal in this war right now is to ensure his own survival and retention of all power.

So another country occupying regions of your own is “winning”
The expectations are very low

They were.
I thought that after Russia launched its Special Operation the war would be over in three months. Now three years after that Russia has less of Ukraine than they once had.
In my mind Ukraine and all their warts have exceeded my expectations. In fact I’m getting close to the point where I can see Russia settling on way less than what their initial goals were.
And that would be a win for Ukraine.

The country who isn't winning on the battlefield, will be facing a demographic crisis for decades to come, is persecuting based on religion, who won't hold itself accountable for corruption, and is having to be subsidized by the west to even pay it's bureaucrats their salaries is winning, actually

If you took the Saints and the points you can.
Fwiw, At the end of 2021 Russia controlled about 7% of Ukraine. That included Crimea and parts of the Donbas.
At one time in 2022 Russia had increased their control to about 27% of Ukraine. In other words they took about 20% more territory.
One year later (Feb. of 2023) Russian controlled territory had been reduced to only 18%. The Russians lost about half of what they had gained.
In June of 2025 Russia regained approximately 5,700 square KM or 1% of Ukraine which makes their gains roughly 19% now.
After a million casualties and billions of dollars of resources, you may say Russia is winning, but I don’t. That additional 11% of Ukraine has come at a huge price. A price that I don’t think Russia can afford.

The crazy thing is that Ukrainians can freely gather in Kyiv and protest outside Zelensky's office.
Just like Russians are free to organize mass protests in Red Square ....
