It's a miracle this has all been recovered. I guess they had no trustworthy place to which to move it. Any trustworthy receiver would refuse to touch it. That left Russia... uh, no.

Today near the Russian pavilion at the Venice Biennale, Pussy Riot and Femen staged a protest action in support of Ukraine and Russian political prisoners.
There are reports that many more performances are being planned. One of them allegedly involves covering the Russian pavilion in feces using sewage trucks.
The intensity of the reaction to the "Russian world," which kills Ukrainians in their cities every day, is entirely predictable.
Propaganda disguised as culture is just as much a weapon of Russia as FAB bombs, Zircon missiles, or Oreshnik systems.

U.S. Military Adopts Battle-Tested Ukrainian Hornet Kamikaze Drones
U.S. Army soldiers are training to use Ukrainian-made Hornet kamikaze drones, which have proven themselves in combat and incorporate elements of artificial intelligence.
Defence Blog reports that these drones are being used in military exercises in Europe.

Hornet
The Hornet is a fixed-wing drone developed and produced by the U.S. company Swift Beat, which former Google CEO Eric Schmidt owns.
Hornet is designed to strike military equipment and concentrations of enemy personnel at long range. A distinctive feature of this loitering munition in its class is the extensive integration of artificial intelligence elements.
The exact flight range is not publicly disclosed, but it is estimated at 100–150 km, with a warhead weighing up to 5 kg.
Hornet in Ukraine
Ukrainian defenders are currently using these drones to target Russian logistics deep in the rear areas of temporarily occupied territories.

Our Switchblade suicide drones cost about $60,000 each. Doesn't say what these cost, but I bet knocking off a zero would be in the ballpark.

What a better place to test a drone by a US company than in Ukraine. I cannot think of one. I remember when battlefield drones were used during Bush's 2nd term in the ME for immediate area recon and strikes. It all seemed so knew and a bit scifi back then

They were used during his first term as well. I've literally watched a childhood friend die in the John Chapman medal of honor drone video release.

It's bad enough if you don't have adequate air defense units and must play a shell game to try to cover everything, but if your opponent is deciding what should be covered and what not, your problems are out of control.

The way they are built, these will be still in place centuries from now.

A kindergarten... As noted before, the Russians want to send a message about their proposed ceasefire. And don't think Putin can do anything about it.
Note: No children were hurt in this attack as they had all been moved beforehand. A female security guard was injured however.

Well, if we were wondering where all those Repos went, now we have our answer.

Caspian sea....
In the area of the basing point "Kaspiysk" (Kaspiysk, Republic of Dagestan, rf), a multi-purpose small missile ship of project 22800 "Karakurt" has been struck, which, in particular, has capabilities for launching Kalibr cruise missiles.

Wonder if this a way of telling Ukraine their assistance in the Gulf is appreciated.?
Posted on 5/8/26 at 1:38 am to bigjoe1
quote:Yes it is, and some more of that assistance is needed for US uses. About the only good thing to come out of this Iranian fiasco is that it's been a huge wake-up for the US military. It's one thing to smell the coffee, quite another to get hit in the head with the pot. Thank God the cost in casualties has (so far) been minimal.
