We should be doing everything possible to replace Russia as an oil and gas provider.
We will never be able to provide it as cheaply as they get it from Russia. Aren't they still buying it from Russia? It is a fact that Europe bought more gas from Russia last year in dollars than they provided aid to Ukraine. That is the reason that I have said that in months after this ends, Europe will be opening up that Russian spigot to max levels financing any future Russian military buildup. The Europeans have a habit of not backing up what they say with action.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Another perfect example of government bloat and waste. We continue to bankrupt this nation. This not sustainable. This is madness.
Tax dollars being wasted on worthless government bureaucrats. How does a government agency grow that fast?
Congress is the most worthless, corrupt and inept governmental body in the world. They fund this madness.

How did Russia’s “help” protect Iran a month ago?
The article covers that...
He didn't.
The Iranians are also telling him no.

Yup 100% the Euros have alligator arms when it comes to picking up the check.
They have made their native populations infantile and spoiled.
Their left wing (even center right in Europe is left) holds onto power via high taxes, free medical, free university, do little jobs, low hours.
They go on vacation non stop.
If that ever stops there will be riots and what they call the scary far right will take over.
And expel the foreign migrants.
So there is no way they will end their green and brown dream that unites the left.

100% truth. Amen.
Do you or any of your family receive those handouts/benefits? Wouldn't you like the French work week along with their benefits?
Incredible.

Well Ratcliffe of the CIA seems happy. Their playground in Ukraine is going to continue.

Listening to Trump, it sounds as if he is taking steps to stop the war.
That’s all I saw and heard.

The EU has frozen billions in Russian assets. I wonder if they are liquidating them to pay us for the arms going to Ukraine?

I read somewhere that they are using the interest. Maybe someone can verify this.

Yup the EUs are treating the interest as a slush fund and taking loans out against the principle.

German police have actually been hauling them to the Polish border to dump them on Poland. Polish citizens have shown up to guard the border check points. The Polish government is sending 5000 soldiers to the check points to close the Polish border between Germany and Lithuania. There has been some recent brutal attacks by "migrants" on Polish citizens. Poland won't put up with that shite. They are not like the cucks in France, GB, Sweden or Germany. The EU burearcrat Tusk and his government are being forced into this stance because he is in real trouble politically. Merkel the East German Communist really screwed Europe.
Lukashenko in Belarus tried this on Poland now their "ally" Germany has adopted the same strategy.
Poor Poland is sandwiched between two turds.

The only benefits anyone in my family gets is I get the child tax credit...
I'd love to work only 40 hours a week...
I'm going to get to about 2100 work hours this year.
US average is 1765
France is 1514
Denmark 1400
Germany 1353
I don't know what I'd do with all those extra hours...
Probably nothing productive...
Sure would give me a lot of time protesting the government trying to take away my cushy benefits...

quote:Agreed. I just wish POTUS would stop the flip-flopping on tariffs, Epstein and Ukraine.
We have a president that knows when we are getting screwed.
I'm reminded of what Senator Everette Dirksen once said about his own infamous flip-flopping on issues, "When my mind is made up, I'm just full of indecision."
Although President Trump's ego would never allow him to say the same about himself, still it's an accurate description of his decision making on some issues.

He definitely seems like he chases his tail, but I would imagine the amount of intelligence he is bombarded with daily would make for tough decisions at times. Hell, we aren't privy to 1/100th of what he is, and some can't make up their minds just on that little bit

“The idea of America selling weapons to help Ukraine is very much in play... Stay tuned for seized assets... and a plan to sell massive arms to our European allies that can benefit Ukraine.”
As discussed earlier, this is our best option of those currently on the table.
Come on White House, do the right thing.

We can make money, create American Jobs, balance trade.
The world knows post India V Pakistan, Weapons that aren't American are not going to help you in a real war.
Israel has basically an American Air Force, they took Iran out at the knees.
Ukraine has shown how damn good Patriots, F-16s and HIMARS are.
The US Navy sat off the coast of Yemen for over a year getting shot at and never got hit.
The US dropped ships off of Israel and took stuff out...
This helps us get our weapons cheaper.
More American Jobs.

Where do you get 80% in the non-sequitur from? Something you puked up after a night of heavy drinking? The US did spend 61% in 1953 and 26% in 1954 which comes out to 45.5% of the total spent by the US of the total spent in French Indo China.
It's not 61% PLUS 26%
FWIW, the US did have an official domino theory foreign policy. We had no troops on the group when it was the French war. That came years later. We likely had observers on the ground just like we did in the Finnish-Russian Winter War like every other nation that's worth a crap.

There is US technology in just about all European weapons except artillery shells. That is part of the NATO integration. The delivery of the British and French cruise missiles was long delayed due to US technology involved, as well as deployment of the first Patriot systems. These were old one donated Germany
