British forces, including P-8 Poseidon Russian submarine-hunting aircraft, are also participating in the operation to seize the sanctioned Russian tanker.

Again, based on the embargo of Venezuela. This time, fully loaded. No bonus for guessing who gets the cargo.

Notice it's Rubio making this backdown, not TACO himself. It takes a full grown man to admit a mistake, not a flannel-mouthed five-time draft dodger.

According to The Wall Street Journal, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio told American lawmakers that the Trump administration’s aggressive rhetoric toward Greenland is intended to pressure Denmark into opening negotiations, rather than to signal an imminent military intervention.
During a closed-door briefing, Rubio stated that the ultimate objective remains the acquisition of Greenland, while the White House continues to insist that the use of military force has not been removed from the agenda.

Russian warships which arrived at the scene of Bella 1/Marinera being seized by the US backed down and did nothing.

I feel like no one is talking about this

This may be Rubio buying time until better options open up.

What exactly do you want us to talk about regarding this? I think its been widely acknowledged that Russia is creeping forward in different areas. Why don't you talk about it? Do you have an opinion or are you just shite posting.
Do you expect Kostyantynivka to fall today, this week, next week, next month? What is the impact to Ukraine's defensive strategy if it falls? Won't they just fall back to the next line of defense 2km back and a year from now Russia MIGHT have advanced to that line?

From your post on 12/11/25
To your post today, almost a month later
What do you want us to talk about, the lack of Russian progress in the last month?

Big city, critically important to Ukraine’s defense of Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. Russia continues to advance. Nothing to talk about.

Then why did you say people should be talking about it?

The only strategic importance the city has now is how many Russians will Ukraine kill while Russia takes the city.
If you haven't figured out Ukraine's strategy yet, I don't know what to tell you.
The city has been surrounded on three sides for a while now. And while it might have been a major logistics hub at one point, it's not anymore. Ukraine is just using it to bleed Russia and Russia is obliging.
I made a post about this city a month ago where I said that if Russia actually had any combat power, they would execute a pincher movement and cut the city off...like the US army would do. Russia can't do that quickly because they no longer have that combat ability.

"lack of Russian progress"
*Shows maps that have obviously changed*
But seriously, I think it's fair to say both that Russia isn't rolling over Ukraine in that area but also that progress probably wouldn't be swift regardless because it is a larger city. They fought over Pokrovsk for what... A year? If those claimed areas are indeed accurate it won't take Russia a year here. But we know Russian claims can be dubious at best sometimes and Ukraine has had some success counter-attacking in certain areas. Something to watch but more to come.

Can they do it slowly? Because they continue to advance in the city, one of the most heavily fortified places on earth, and if it falls then IMO the die is pretty much cast for the entire Donbas. At what point does it make sense for Ukraine to concede the Donbas?

It's pointless to argue with you, we know your position
To anyone with more than a 8th grade education it is obvious what my point was, in a month Russia has moved forward 6 blocks (according to that map). They might capture the city by the end of the year.
I believe they are still fighting over Pokrovsk, JB was posting about its imminent collapse a year ago.
