No details yet about the peace deal, but reporting that US officials have been meeting with Ukraine. Based on that, I would expect the deal that Ukraine agreed to to be different than the Russian proposal floated by Washington last week.

We shall see.

I wouldn’t hang the “MISSION ACCOMPLISHED” flag until everyone agrees. Russia hasn’t signed off on this deal. The Ukrainian agreement has been publicized to put pressure on Russia to agree. It isn’t a done deal yet.

What will now happen is that Russia will completely refuse to stop fighting, they will insist on retaking all of the Donbas, and Trump will look like a chump again, and he'll get mad at Russia and up the sanctions and maybe give Ukraine some Tomahawk missiles.

That would surprise me, but it would be a pleasant surprise.

Will wait for confirmation by western sources to accept this info as true, but if it is true it would represent nothing short of a collapse of the Ukrainian lines in eastern Zapo. Actually it would mean the Russians entirely flanked the Ukrainian lines in eastern Zapo. A catastrophe for Ukraine if true.

Does anyone know if Ukraine will be giving up any land?

No Colors and GOP_Tiger assured me Ukraine would not cede one acre.

And? Natural gas prices worldwide were high end of 2021 as Covid lockdowns ended and demand skyrocketed. Anyone involved in O&G knows this

Oil prices maybe, not natural gas. The reason they were high in Europe in 2021 was Gazprom playing Enron games with "outages" to jack the price up. BTW, are you old enough to remember what Enron games are?.

Hey, you tried.

Yeah. We're selling them to the Ukrainians. Trump's been open about that.

NATO is "buying them" with russian seized assets, which we guranteed under the biden admin. So this peace accord will include paying back that money (same thing we did with Iran) and WE the US agreed to underwrite it thanks to blinken on the way out the door.

Various sites, dozens, state the actual amount allocated to Ukraine at 182.7 billion. This does not include:

Loans from the IMF
Various agency support like USAID, various and sundry other agencies
It does not include the vast intel network nor military "advisors"

And your shat article just reinforces the idiocy that the US sent them nothing but boots from WW1. We no longer make those boots, but we are making high tech weapons......

quote:

Ongoing Deliveries from Past Contracts: The U.S. continues to deliver weapons and equipment contracted under the previous administration, which will last for several years, in some cases until 2028.

quote:

In summary, while the method of funding has shifted, the manufacturing and flow of U.S. high-tech weapons to Ukraine is ongoing, with many items still in the production and delivery pipeline from past and current agreements.

Negotiations fluid, Pokrovsk still contested, and Russian drone tactics working.

quote:

Key Takeaways
US and Ukrainian delegations reportedly narrowed down the initial US-proposed 28-point peace plan to 19 points.
The persistent Russian rate of advance does not indicate that Russian forces will imminently seize the rest of Donetsk Oblast.
Russian officials and ultranationalist voices continue rejecting the original and revised US-proposed peace plan drafts and are attempting to portray Europe as responsible for the Russian rejection.
Ukrainian forces maintain a limited presence and continue to counterattack within Pokrovsk, indicating that Russian forces likely remain unable to rapidly seize Pokrovsk at this time. Russian forces continue to leverage their new offensive template, which heavily relies on battlefield air interdiction (BAI) efforts and infiltration tactics, to advance in the Hulyaipole direction.
Belarusian balloons continue incursions in NATO airspace in Lithuania and Latvia. Russian forces recently advanced near Vovchansk, Velykyi Burluk, Siversk, Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, Velykomykhailivka, and Hulyaipole and in the Kostyantynivka-Druzhkivka tactical area.
