Poland starting a trend which will soon become very fashionable throughout Europe.

I also know we've heard from some on this board how they are months away from economic collapse, in "big trouble", etc etc for years now, and yet Russia keeps fighting and won't even seriously talk about peace.
Correct, but the trend has not been their friend.
They are losing too.

The Poles have a very large historical axe to grind with Russia.

the F-16s that were given to Ukraine were also old, and relatively few in number, and there's no indication that the US is going to provide Ukraine with new ones.
America and NATO have thousands of serviceable F16's that are being retired and replaced with F35's. Many will end up parked in the desert.

You are providing a valuable service reminding us that Russia is still fighting even though people are hoping that they collapse and the war ends. Thank you!

Don’t forget to thank Cypher and the others who remind us on a regular basis of how much mayhem, destruction and death that Russia is bringing to bear on Ukraine.

The point was that they aren't stopping despite things like being in "big trouble" economically and suffering insane casualty numbers, not simply that "they are still fighting".

They are losing too.
One side's losing is economic turmoil and international embarrassment.
The other side's existence, at least as we know it today, its at risk by their losing.
"Both sides are losing" minimizes the stakes for Ukraine. Even if I don't personally care for them that much, the world is a better place with an independent, democratic Ukraine in it.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Isn't this the exact same proposal that went nowhere just a few months back because it doesn't freeze the front line and puts demands on the Ukrainian army?

Actually I was pointing out that his list is WRONG.
How did you miss that?

Simple arithmetic is beyond comprehension of some. Budgeting for $20 more per barrel than actually achieved IS the definition of big troube.

You already outed them. If the person exists, Russia can easily identify who it was based just on the info you gave them.
IF they exist at all.

Exclusive-Trump's Ukraine envoy Kellogg to leave post in January, sources say
WASHINGTON (Reuters) -U.S. President Donald Trump's Special Envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, has told associates he plans to leave the administration in January, four sources ?told Reuters, a departure that would mean the loss of a key advocate for Ukraine in the Trump administration.
Special ?presidential envoy is a temporary designation, and such envoys in theory must be confirmed by the Senate to stay in their positions past 360 days. Kellogg has ?indicated that January would be a natural departure point, given existing legislation, said the sources, who requested anonymity to discuss private conversations.
His departure will be unwelcome news in Kyiv. The retired lieutenant general was widely viewed by European diplomats, Ukrainians included, as a sympathetic ear in an administration that has at times leaned toward Moscow's view on the origins of the war in Ukraine.

The writing was on the wall in 2018 when Russia banned The Death of Stalin because it made fun of Stalin and the Politburo of the time. The cult of Stalin was being revived at about the same time. Putin has learned some lessons from Stalin (though I doubt Stalin would ever have been so stupid as to launch the Ukraine invasion). What Putin did learn is how to systematically purge potential rivals. Especially when they are on your team.

Soviet Invasions Under Stalin
The Winter War seems to have gone about the same as the Ukrainian war, althought it didn't lead to a total economic collapse.....
