AU, I thought you were smarter than this. Trump WAS done messing around with Putin, which is why Putin called him up and begged for mercy and made some kind of promises to Trump. The facts that Putin called him up and made some promises indicates that I was exactly right -- Ukraine WAS about to get Tomahawk missiles, plus a lot of other things.

You make a good point
Putin promised Trump something. No Tomahawks in exchange for what?

Trump says no to Z and that he wants to give diplomacy a chance.

Makes sense.

Either that or Trump is playing Lucy to Z’s Charlie Brown.

Why would I do that?
I find you amusing.
The effort you give to entice people here into arguments is comical. You try so hard.

Not talking about you, you aren't clever and you don't think you are either

I apparently don't have to try too hard because here you are again

He was until he wasn't again. The language about the Tomahawks was pretty iffy at best the entire time.

Wow! Paranoid much??

Posters don’t get other posters banned. Posters get themselves banned.

I was put into Time Out once, and I deserved it. Learned my lesson, too.

And not once did I think or whine that some big old meanies did it to me. I did it to myself.

Grow up, you big poo-poo head.

Trump being played by Putin again. The US being played by Putin thanks to Mr. Trump. It’s like clockwork and Putin will end up getting what he wants too. But I just don’t understand Trump here. He says he just wants peace, but he’s negotiating and trusting the man who caused all of this to happen in the first place. He believes the words coming out of a bloodthirsty warmonger, but doesn’t believe the words coming out of his own people/allies. I just don’t get it.

Maybe, but definitely not as paranoid as someone who whined to a mod that JB's posts would cause the government to shut down this entire site

Same as winter of 2022/23. Lots of portable generators already in Ukraine.

I always thought the Tomahawk thing was an empty threat. And one Putin could easily see through.

We only ever made 4000 of them. And we've fired hundreds of those. And the replacement for them has just gone into production. And most of them are designed to be fired from sea based systems. . It's not like we could have just given them 1000 of them overnight.

I honestly have no idea what the point was of getting Zhelensky to Washington and then Trump meeting Putin in the next two weeks? . I think Trump juat likes being in the spotlight.

Neither side is budging. Ukraine will get the weapons it needs to keep Russia at bay for the foreseeable future.

The one who has the leverage here is China. They are keeping the Russian war machine afloat with money and hardware. Soon Putin will learn what this lifeline will really cost him. But probably not until the price is too steep for him to pay.

China playing the long game to perfection.

Trump thinks he can end it when he can't. Only problem is they won't concede on anything because both sides think they are winning. And oddly enough neither is correct as of today.

Absolutely. China gaining more power long term to me is the most likely and most troubling outcome of the war no matter what else happens.

I can't help but think China maneuvered this from the beginning. If Russia has a quick easy victory then China gets better access to Ukraine natural resources via Russia. Plus it demonstrates that the world won't intervene to help a country like Ukraine, which sets a precedent for Taiwan. So China wins in that scenario.

If Russia gets caught in a protracted war of attrition, and bleeds itself white from a military, industrial, political, and demographic standpoint, then that's also good for China. They're now getting grain, lumber, oil, and gas from Russia cheaper than they could have ever dreamed. If things get worse and Russia begins to collapse, they step in to "stabilize" Siberia and take what they want without firing a shot.

China wins either way. No wonder they promoted the No Limits Partnership. Because there's basically no limits to what they get from this under any scenario.

While Trunp plays for headlines, China plays for keeps.

More of the same plus analysis of the Putin call and the Z meeting.

quote:

Key Takeaways Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump met at the White House on October 17 and discussed ongoing US support for Ukraine and efforts to the war The Kremlin continues to employ a dual-handed rhetorical strategy, leveraging economic proposals and veiled military threats in an effort to simultaneously pursue normalizing US-Russian relations and deterring US support for Ukraine. The Kremlin is reducing its financial incentives used to recruit volunteer soldiers, likely as part of the Kremlin’s efforts to restructure force generation efforts and centralize control over Russian recruits in an effort to sustain its protracted war in Ukraine. Russia’s short-range and long-range drone strike campaigns continue to disproportionately impact civilians in Ukraine. Ukraine’s European allies continue to provide military aid and support Ukraine’s growing defense industry. Ukrainian forces advanced near Velykomykhailivka and in northern Sumy Oblast. Russian forces advanced near Lyman and Siversk.

supahtigah replied to one of JB's propaganda posts by saying:
quote:

you are literally posting CCP propaganda in this thread

To which I replied to supatigah:
quote:

And he has been doing the same thing with Russian propaganda ever since he signed up on Tigerdroppings.

My fear is some law enforcement organization, such as the FBI or Homeland Security, will notice what he has been doing and might take TigerDroppings down just to get rid of a foreign influencer spreading propaganda on here. That would be sad.

If you think that was paranoia and whining to a mod, I'm still okay with what I posted. I believe it was appropriate considering today's political climate.

Apparently supatigah must have agreed with me because he then posted:
quote:

I took him out

looking at his thread history is a litany of garbage and propaganda

this guy shits up the PT board everyday with twitter links

he has been suspended numerous times for doing this very thing he is doing in this thread.

it is apparent to me he has an agenda he is promoting on here, almost smells like a paid agenda the way he uses twitter to support his ideology

Now back to YOUR paranoia. I doubt any poster has ever RA'd your posts. I know I haven't.

Other than your incessant lying about what other posters have posted and your frequent nights of drunk posting (neither of which violates board guidelines making you eligible for banning), you are a good source for providing a laugh.

Very little valid information but still, a good laugh now and then is good. Sort of like what a court jester does...

Thanks for posting that, it's almost as funny on the second read.

Didn't read the rest of your rant, so "congratulations" or "sorry that happened" depending on what it said.
