My only issue with these maps is that there needs to be some kind of distinction between recent Ukranian counteroffensives that took ground, and the one in the early stages of the war before the lines more or less stabilized. I don't think the big blue blob on this one really tells you anything about the current state of the war.

I actually hope not. We disagree pretty strongly, but he is someone who will lay out their positions and debate without feeling the need to outright lie or become overly emotional on the issue.

I will give you a freebie on a point I've made multiple times:
Putin has some legitimate reasons for invading Ukraine. I also think he is a murderer, and those legitimate points aren't any actual justification for invading Ukraine and killing hundreds of thousands of people.
By your extremist view that is probably being an "apologist", to which I say "Oh, well".
Define "apologist" and tell me anything you linked in that last post applies to that definition.

I can’t speak for them, but on most days I try and avoid you. I was today until I messed up.

The "globalists", defined in a way that most people understand them, are very much in favor of this war, and the US providing as much support as possible.
Though I do support the EU helping Ukraine. Maybe I am pro-globalist? Not as much as you, but maybe I'll get there.

Thanks for that. Was never hiding. As I said at the time, I am very busy with work, and don't have time to scroll past 10 pages of Lord Bebo and Geroman posts everyday. Now that those are gone, I have time to regularly keep up with this thread -- I don't have to deal with posts about Florian Philpott's views on Zelensky's state of mind.
But, yeah, obviously Putin made Trump some kind of promise or concession that changed what would have otherwise happened today. We don't know exactly what that concession was. But that's the whole point of what Trump has been doing: he's really not interested in Ukraine taking back its territory, but rather, he's interested in peace and ensuring that he gets the Nobel next year. What I've been saying lately, repeatedly, is that now that the Middle East deal is done, Trump is going to push much harder for peace in the Russo-Ukrainian War.

Not interested, or doesn't believe its possible?
I would have liked to see Trump get some kind of immediate concession after all of the can-kicking from Putin with Trump's previous attempts at peace. Pretty disappointed that didn't happen.
