It's difficult for me to imagine Putin would attack a NATO country unless he plans on using nukes.
NATO's advantage in conventional hardware and military tactics training would slobber-knock Russia's conventional military forces.
IMO, Putin's next target would be a non-NATO country like Moldova, Georgia, Armenia or Azerbaijan.

Russian forces have reinforced defenses around the illegally built Kerch Bridge in occupied Crimea, Petro Andryushchenko, head of the Center for the Study of Occupation, said on Sept. 30.
“The barrier now consists of three lines of defense — a barge and two protective barriers stretching along the entire Kerch Bridge,” Andryushchenko wrote on Telegram, sharing new footage.
He noted that previous Russian defenses near the bridge were destroyed by storms.
“The level of anxiety over the main totem of [Russian dictator Vladimir] Putin is rising,” Andryushchenko added.
On Sept. 23, Andryushchenko reported that military cargo was once again being transported across the bridge.
“With the railway line through occupied Zaporizhzhya Oblast out of service for more than a month, Russia has been forced to resume military use of the bridge,” he said.
