re: Latest Updates: Russia-Ukraine Conflict.

Skipping over the background of the present Belarus - Russia relationship, what is important now is that the Belarus military is very strong within the country and very independent. In spite of enormous pressure from the Russians to join this war, they have flatly refused to be involved.
Proof of this is the bare minimum of Ukrainian border guards watching the Belarus frontier. They know they don't have to worry about an invasion coming from that direction. In addition, no refinery or critical infrastructure in Belarus has been sanctioned by Ukrainian drones.
The same may be said of Lukashenko's government, although it's still more of an organized crime family than government. But he has managed to avoid entanglement in the war - a major accomplishment under the circumstances.
This independence of Russian influence was on display yesterday when the Belarus military spokesman stated repeatedly that not only were they not responsible for the drones sent into Poland, but they had contacted the Polish military directly to warn them of the drone's line of approach. They clearly wanted to avoid blame and separate themselves from the Russian action. The Poles and Ukrainians seem to have accepted this.
So the very next day a mini detente is signed, the Belarus airline is allowed to fly to and buy aircraft parts from the US and the US announces they are reopening their embassy in Minsk? All in one day...? Uh, no. This discussion has clearly been going on for some time but the 19 Russian drones aimed at Poland was the "check please" moment for the Belarusians.
Lukashenko is a thug and a brutal dictator, but he could easliy become our thug and brutal dictator. Not Putin's. Holy shite, think about that possibility. That's worth a few aircraft parts and visas to Las Vegas.
So... Putin wanted to test the resolve of the NATO countries but what he got was the resolve of his ally Belarus to back out and open dialog with the Americans. And without giving up mineral rights. Yet.
Putin Again Remains the Master Strategist.
Russia did launch part of its initial invasion force from Belarus, and it did move its tactical nukes into Belarus (suggested to be more about intimidating Belarus than anybody else).
But all I can figure is that Lukashenko sees that decoupling himself from Putin might be the best move going forward.
If so... that takes some pressure off of the Baltic States and Poland.

Glad to have another ally on this.
Note, I absolutely agreed with every thing you said in that post, but I do disagree with the part you didn't say re: US involvement.

Its pretty obvious, I couldn't figure out how he was allowed to spam this board for months and then it stopped, thought he got banned. If he isn't somehow compensated for the work he does here, then its even more bizarre.

Yeah, the Russians are known to do that. And considering how many times this guy has posted - over 16,000 in a year, or about FIFTY POSTS A DAY - I can't see how he has anytime left for anything else.
Hey Barron, what's the pay? They hiring, and do they pay in Rubles or real money?
Tell your bosses I might be interested, only I might not be the most reliable guy from a political standpoint.

The violent left will never stop trying to silence people who disagree with them.
How about you just shut the frick up?

Do you see how these two sentences contradict each other?
Nah, I bled for this country. I've earned the right to speak, and it's going to happen.

100% correct. That's how dumb these guys are that they believe someone would be paid on a thread of the same 8 posters who are NAFO Trolls

Barron - seriously.
How did they get in touch with you? Did you run a website on the side, or did you know someone? Were you just an SEC fan without a degree who was looking for some work, or does it require postgraduate work?
Did you have to have to take some sort of oath, or a political test or something? Or did you secretly vote for Biden or Kamala's useless arse?
Did they have something on you, like blackmail material or something?
Does the falling Ruble affect your pay?
How does this whole thing work? I genuinely want to know, and I guarantee you people on here will be FAR more interested in hearing about that than your ideas on the war.

You have to understand. Russia would never pay a guy to post 50 times a day in a thread only five people read.
Yet the guy posts 50 times a day, knowing few people read his stuff.
You are right it doesn’t add up.

You also notice the NAFO Trolls never post War Updates. They just basically attack the 4 posters who are not posting their point of view and talk about Rumors from friends and business associates from 20 years ago that told CitizenK Russia is about to go bankrupt for 4 years now

Barron! You're back! Good!
Do they send you that to post or do you have to work to find it yourself?
EDIT:
Hey, can I PM you? I don't want to take up anymore space in this thread....

Sure they would, especially if the guy is posting on other sites.
BARRON SETTLE A BET FOR US
Are you posting on another site or just this one?

Quick question Leopold.
You seem to want to be perceived as someone who wants to find the truth.
Why have you never questioned why cypher only posts links from the same 2 or 3 Pro Ukraine, Western funded sites? In the old thread it would literally just be the link and some text until I started calling him out for it
And Coeur does the exact same shite JB does. Nothing from you there either.
I'll reiterate what I said before and during JBs ban/sabbatical/timeout... I'm fine with banning him, but by the same standard Coeur should go as well.
Literally just this week I caught Coeur posting an article he clearly hadn't even read based on his "personal" comments on it.

Incorrect. I was not banned for posting anything in the Ukraine/Russia War Thread. Never got 1 warning from a Mod about this thread. It was a post I made about Iran with a Trump Video on the Political Board that was locked. You can not find 1 post from me in this thread making a made up BS claim from a "Business Associate" like CitizenK does. Lots of posters in this thread do not post any War Updates and only bitch and complain. Those are the posters who should be banned.
Posted on 9/11/25 at 9:36 pm to John Barron
Well, my broader point wasn't that anyone *should* be banned, it's that consistent standards should be applied. Be that with moderation or criticism. They most certainly are not.

I could care less about how an online community perceives me. Rather, I actually want Ukraine to win - I've been open about this.

Excellent question. I posted earlier why I think JB is a genuine Russian propaganda troll:
quote:
I'm asking that not only because your posts are entirely pro-Russia, but also for other reasons.
You only registered for this site on September 20th of last year, 2024.
You've posted, at this time, 16,000 times and ALL of your posts are political, or at least as far back as I can go.
You don't talk about SEC football, or claim an SEC team, even though this is an SEC site.
You put your location down as "The Mar-a-Lago Club,' not a real city.
Your interests are 'Saving America,' as generic as it gets.
Your occupation is 'Business Man,' also as generic as it gets.
Cypher doesn't fit this profile. Coeur doesn't fit this profile. You, also, don't fit this profile. So, while I do find myself disagreeing with you, I don't think you're a troll. I could be wrong about all of you, but I'm going with my line of thinking. So my line of thinking is at least consistent, if I might be wrong somewhere.
And if posting an article one clearly hadn't read was grounds for getting banned, well, hell, there wouldn't be a single forum left on the internet.....
I've never told someone not to post. Or to 'shut up.' Or anything like that. Multiple people have told me, but, again, I'm not interested in other people's perception of me.
Keep posting VolSquatch. We may disagree, but at least you're trying and I respect that.

My longtime friend who is an international grain trading exec and I spoke last week. I may be driving to see him at a bulk shipping conference in Houston or after that in New Orleans when he goes meet his eldest son and watch a Giants/Saints game. It all depends or our schedules.
He was laughing at the tariffs and how no one is committed to buying 35 million tons of this year's soybean harvest in the US so Argentina and Brazil are laughing all of the way to the bank. He laughed about the time he had an office in NOLA and was doing his secretary at work every day. Her dad was sheriff in Lafourche Parish and stopped him one day when he was there. The sheriff was going to fabricate some charges and throw him in jail if he didn't marry his daughter. The company he was with at the time had 2 or 3 large export grain elevators on the Mississippi River, 1 in Lake Charles and used the Public Elevator in Houston. He was also managing the mills they owned in Puerto Rico and several smaller Caribbean Islands around 40 years ago. This was after I related to him how a number of chemical plants told me their orders for 4th quarter this year are way down. Thes make intermediate petrochemical products and much of their production is historically exported to the EU in Iso Containers (tank containers).
FTR, thanks to all the "wet" natural gas supply very cheap NGL's to make the US the lowest cost producer of petrochemicals in the world.

The man says he was banned for something he said in an Iran thread; yet you ignore that and say tgere is a double standard. How so if he wasn’t banned for firehosinf?
