Macron says Putin would have duped Trump if he doesn't commit to Zelenskiy meeting
By Reuters
August 29, 202511:08 AM CDT
PARIS, Aug 29 (Reuters) - If Russian President Vladimir Putin doesn't commit by Monday to meet Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelenskiy, he would have duped U.S. President Donald Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron said.
"If that doesn't happen by Monday, the deadline set by President Trump, it means that once again President Putin played President Trump," Macron said at a joint news conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on Friday.
Trump has threatened "consequences" if the Russian and Ukrainian leaders don't meet.
Zelenskiy also recalled on Friday a statement by Trump that he would give Putin a week or two to agree on a bilateral meeting with the Ukrainian leader before potentially announcing new action against Russia.
"Two weeks will be on Monday. And we will remind everybody," Zelenskiy said.

Here’s the difference you won’t say but I will. China and Japan don’t import 3rd world literal trash to destroy their country from within. Hope that clarification helps

For the most part Eastern countries have been closed to outsiders for centuries. Wedtern countries have been way more tolerant of immigrants.
The results are evident; both the good and the bad. You certainly can’t be promoting China’s way of life, right? I know you are critical of the recent lack of border security in the US as you should be, but over time our way of life has been far superior to China’s.
I’m optimistic that Trump has stopped a lot of the nonsense and things will get better, but none of this has anything to do with the naked aggression by Putin and his thugs.

you're ignorant.
China has a huge internal population you would consider "3rd world literal trash." They are forcing them to relocate into urban environments from the countryside. China also takes in lots of poorer, uneducated people to work from its surrounding countries... Vietnam, Cambodia, etc. even North Korea (Kim turns a blind eye to his border with China).
Japan, being an Island nation and one inhabited by the "master race Japanese," at that, has not been open to immigration, historically... but that's changing by necessity... they need the workers, so "3rd world trash" from Vietnam and Myanmar are increasingly flooding into the country.

Do they import Muslims to kiss their feet and let them rape their wives? Oh no they don’t. Look at that.
Now you have to shut the frick up.

I completely approve of Ukraine hitting Russia's cash flow just like I fully approved of Ukraine's tractors towing abandoned Russian armor. Three years of normal wear and tear have added up to allow simple hits shut units down. Most process units have duplicate pumps and compressors if one needs repair. It's difficult to have a spare not already being used at this point. It's far more difficult to repair things on the fly if they are also being hit.
While not a refinery, Dow's methylcellulose unit at Plaquemine, LA often ran for several years beyond scheduled turnarounds and repaired on the fly due it was such a cash cow for Dow and outperforming similar units in Midland, MI and Germany. Methylcellulose is used as a flour replacement in "lite bread" and as a binder in pills, also as a thickener in shampoo and body lotions among other uses.

I’m not talking about the US. I’m talking about Europe that imports 3rd world Muslim filth to kiss their feet and let them rape women.
China and Japan will outlast Europe because they don’t practice total asinine policies like we see in London and Germany.

Being in debt at least 3X GDP is the way to go? Lawd have mercy. You sound like Merlin Verret RIP, who had an E&P company with the attitude of if you owe more money than you are worth, banks won't foreclose on you. He went bankrupt in the early 1980's after just getting a loan from a local bank which HAD been very solvent. The bank president died of a heart attack upon hearing the news and he was a 50ish year old health nut.

The way that many European countries work is that they LOVE when their companies make money overseas and while their is a tax on the books for repatriated money, if it goes into their manufacturing/services and jobs in the Euro country, a blind eye by the government. They are also allowed to bribe like mofos overseas even though there are laws on the books against it. France and Italy are two of the most egregious offenders.

Every war has its iconic images, photographs that will define the pain for future generations.
This photo is such an image. It defines this war and it defines Putin but it most strongly defines the weakness and profound shame of the West. Nothing will ever change that.

You had levy up from ignorant to flat out stupid.
China has a Muslim population internally...
There are an estimated 17 to 25 million Muslims in China
many of the people from those neighboring Asian countries are Muslims.
People fleeing Myanmar to work in Japan are usually Muslims escaping persecution.
Islam is a minority religion in Japan, representing about 0.28% of the population as of early 2020, with a significant increase in followers due to immigration from Muslim-majority countries. As of 2024, the Muslim population in Japan is estimated to be around 350,000, with most being foreign-born and a growing number of native Japanese converts.
Now you get to shut the frick up, idiot

Those socialist governments in Europe are headed for the scrap heap of history where they belong.

So you support VDH? Funny, you should check out:
which I happen to be watching and where he rips Tucker and RFK Jr. new ones. And Victor is also a major supporter of Ukraine, which is the actual topic. Not your looney tunes Maga cult bullshite.
I'm a fan of Victor Davis Hanson. You obviously know very little, yet again.

You're just joking, right? I mean, at least about that China part, right?
The Japanese are a bit badass, true, but their own social and political practices DO mirror some of the European ones, especially when it comes to things like socialized medicine, very high corporate taxes and other things I find right wingers in America find 'socialist.' Hell, the Europeans have been practically American Neo-Conservative-like when it comes to their military when compared to the Japanese over the past 80 years.
But China is straight F*CKED. And why shouldn't they be - their open Commies. Hell, at least London and Berlin can tell you how many people they have.
If you want to invest in China go for it. But any non-Boomer can tell you that China is done for, the question is when.

We found the source of plastics in male testicles. Its from Dow's methylcellulose that is used in bread production.
