Crimea and the Southern Front. Same areas which are seeing all the rail substations hit.

Just sayin'...

Trade between Russia and China rose to record levels as the war in Ukraine left Moscow isolated. But now it is falling, and Putin is trying to reverse this trend in preparation for the summit with President Xi Jinping.

After the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Western partners turned away from Russia, and China appeared, buying Russian oil and selling goods ranging from cars to electronics — this led to a record bilateral trade growth to $245 billion in 2024.

But now the situation has changed, and from January to July 2025, trade turnover decreased by 8.1% compared to the same period last year, caused by a drop in car imports to Russia and a reduction in oil exports to China. This decline is causing concern in Moscow.

China is Russia's largest trading partner, and Moscow is well aware of its dependence on Beijing in economic and military spheres — considering that China's economy is about 9 times larger than Russia's, there is no doubt who dominates these relations.

China provides the majority of Russia's export revenues, and the technologies supplied by Beijing are crucial for the Russian army. “Without them, we wouldn’t be able to manufacture a single missile, let alone drones, and the entire economy would have long since collapsed. If they wanted, the war would have ended long ago,” says a Russian source to the publication.

Another source close to the Russian government stated that Russia’s largest trading partners — China and India — mostly act in their own interests and that Moscow has no real allies. “China does not behave like an ally. Sometimes China lets us down and stops payments, sometimes it takes advantage of the situation, sometimes it’s outright robbery; there is nothing allied about it,” the source reports.

The overall trade decline from January to July is 8.1%, but some sectors have experienced a more significant drop, as shown by Chinese customs data.

Fuel exports from Russia during this period fell by almost 20%, imports of smartphones and computers decreased by 27.5%, and imports of vehicles from China, including passenger cars, tractors, and commercial trucks, dropped by 46% to $5.8 billion.

One source noted that projects in agriculture and energy sectors, such as the Power of Siberia-2 gas pipeline, could become a way to stimulate trade. But for many years, Russia has been unable to agree on supplying winter wheat to China, let alone building the gas pipeline.

An important point: demand for machine tool imports from China in 2025 will sharply decline, as Russian defense companies have successfully “re-equipped.”

Why would China cut exports to Russia? Well, Russian exports to China are declining and the Chinese are not in the charity business. The significant issue driving this decline has to be falling Russian revenue due to increasing Ukrainian drone sanctions.

Simply put - No Tikkee, No Laundry.

I don't think we have to wait two weeks. Putin will tell TACO to BTFO and TACO will do as he's told.

Kuibyshev oil refinery in Samara has fully halted operations after a night drone attack on August 28. At least 29 UAVs struck the site, causing 7 fires and hitting major units. Local officials claimed the attack was repelled, but the facility is offline, ASTRA reports.

8 dv's. I am shocked it is not more. It will probably wind up with 12-14.

There are some real radicals in this thread. I have said it for a year. You have the radical leftists and then you have the spineless Bush/Cheney neocons who are in bed with them. Mix them up and you have the Trotskyites. The common term used today would be Deep State. The federal government is full of this type.

These people are not America First. They are Ukraine First. The leftist wing is for any or all methods that will spread their ideology. They are committed idealogues. The neocon wing (weaklings-Rino's) realizes what these leftist radicals are and what they believe but they are willing to support/defend them as long as they get what they want because they have no principles. They either benefit personally or they are gullible, naive fools. Look back at the Bolshevik Revolution. There were useful idiots that helped Lenin secure power and as soon as it happened Lenin put them against the wall and shot them. You see examples of this in this echo chamber everyday and you see examples of this from Rino's in Washington everyday.

Unbelievable.

Europe has lost it's way and it's going to pay the price for it for a long time. What they have done with immigration is suicide for their cultures.

I don't see a road back for it that doesn't include bloodshed at some point.

If they give it to Ukraine with strings attached, it will be spent in their nations.

If they do decide to take it, which I don't believe that they will you are 100% correct. They would form a huge slush fund and it would be spent on themselves, corrupt politicians would steal it or they would dip into it to repay themselves for anything they spent on Ukraine. If any was sent to Ukraine 2/3rds of that would be stolen.

The people of Ukraine would probably be screwed again.

Both sides are full of shite. Goebbels would be proud.

There are pundits that push the Russia propaganda that are on the RT payroll. The guy is 100% correct.

But there are pundits on the Ukraine side that are on payrolls also pushing Ukrainian propaganda. Ben Hodges, Jack Keane, David Petraeus, soon to be convict John Bolton, neocon Bill Kristol, etc.

And then you have the Ex OT Ukraine Warrior Goebbels:

JB- banned

Cope: not banned but does the same thing that JB was banned for.

Bagdad Bob of Kiev

LeeB: spokesman for the Democrat Socialists of America

You do know just because someone disagrees with you it doesn’t mean they are a leftist, a socialist or a commie.

I down vote you on a regular basis and I am not any of that.

No you are the neocon spineless Bush/Cheney Rino type that defend the leftists and is in bed with them. The type that still lives in the Cold War and thinks we are duty bound to support anything that Israel wants. The type that refuses to call them or their agenda out. The Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, Bill Kristol type.
