Of course.
Why would Americans want a corrupt, fatass, lazy, entitled government to keep funds taxpayer’s generate only to have to have it wasted.
The debt exist BECAUSE of these idiots overspending.
They are akin to drug addicts that have access to unlimited supply.
Taxation without representation makes taxpayers decide they want it back.
I don’t even qualify for this bullshite and I don’t want it to go towards the debt. They aren’t capable of reducing their bloated arse spending habits.
We need tax reform.

Look aholes. We spent 100 billion plus to fund migrants every year under the Biden "admin". Give us (I'll admit it's a drop in the bucket, and that I don't necessarily need it) ACTUAL CITIZENS as rebate on the monies that have been stolen from us. Yes the debt total is huge, but we signed off on 130 billion to go to what? The fookin UKRAINE? For what supposedly is a fight we have no stake in (which is a lie, because our deep state leaders use it for embezzlement). And you people bitch about 300 B going to American citizens? That's our F'ing money! Frick the Federal Reserve. Their days are numbered, and we'll be switching the currency standard anyways.

They were forced to pay higher prices on goods thanks to Trump’s tariffs. It’s not surprising people want their money back.
Based on hiring data, it’s not doing working people any favors anyway.

Trump proposed paying at least $2,000 per person from tariff revenues, excluding high-income individuals. He clarified that moderate and middle-income people would be eligible, with payments possibly starting in mid-2026 pending Congressional approval.
So, of course they do. Wouldn't you? Seems like the cost of most things are going up. Mass layoffs. $2,000 in your pocket would be real money instead of some abstract term like "paying down the deficit".
It was a bad idea to start with.
The U.S. ran a $1.78 trillion deficit in 2025 — barely down from last year. With debt topping $38 trillion and interest payments now bigger than defense spending, this isn’t sustainable. Every borrowed dollar is a future tax bill.
Political window dressing. But the Genie is out of the bottle so to speak. You can't offer something like that then take it back, even if it's still subject to more debate and approval.

Thats the quandary. They've been told it was coming, now its virtually an entitlement.

Than use money taken in to pay down the deficit.
I understand their frustration. Say we take that “earmarked” $2Kpp and help pay down the deficit instead of pocketing it.
Next clown admin comes in and adds another $1T then what happens? We lose again. If there was a rule or law in place where no new debt is to be added, I could understand it. Until then, it’s wishcasting bc our Congress isn’t serious about lowering the deficit.

I’d rather they take $2,000 less out of my paycheck next year.

National Bureau of Economic Research suggested 60% of 1st 2 stimulus checks went to pay off debt or into savings.
That was pretty surprising to read

Now it’s correct.

RINOs. Not fiscal conservatives.
Now I understand that it's money owed to us from years of being overly taxed, so I'll just get that out of the way before I continue.
However, I want the money to go towards the deficit. I could certainly use another $2000 right now but if it comes I'm not doing anything with it other than buying silver. So it is what it is.

Good. Vote buying to shore up the midterms

I could use it for gambling.

Yeah, cuz if they don’t send out checks the deficit will go down.
