It's also not difficult to understand that Israel would be in a much worse spot if they didn't have air defense support from the United States

My hypothetical started with if someone was in the verge of destroying them. They’d destroy the attackers and wherever they were from on the way down.

You do know Israel produces its own air defense systems right. Iron dome, davids sling, and arrow 2 and 3 are all products of Israel made mostly by Rafael air defense systems based out of Kiryat Bialik, Israel

We have at least partially contributed to the funding
And in addition to those systems we had destroyers helping intercept missiles

Amazing plane, most American 4th gen air frames can still wreck almost anything on the planet.
We are flying a 6th Gen while our 4th and 5th gens wipe out large countries.
